Alot of release this week, and one of the film is under the Yash Raj Youth Division-MERE DAD KI MARUTI.

The film has good buzz. I think business will be best in North, especially due to the "Punjabiyan Di Battery song" which is sure to find flavor in the North (especially Punjab). Film may find appreciation.

The leading actor in the film is Saqib Saleem, who earlier acted in MUJSHE FRAANDSHIP KAROGE. Another actor in MERE DAD KI MARUTI is the very talented Ram Kapoor. He's a good actor and it's nice to see him doing more films, although he should lose some of that weight!

My Box Office Predictions for MERE DAD KI MARUTI:

Opening Day: 2.50 crore net

Opening Weekend: 10+ crores net

Lifetime: 25 crores net

Overall Box Office Verdict: Above Average

No one commented on this thread at the time of the film's release, but Taran Adarsh recently wrote on Bollywood Hungama top 5 that the film's status is "Above Average"! :

I agree with this list, except that I would put Matru as Average/Flop, ABCD as just Hit, Mere Dad Ki Maruti as Above Average (that's what Taran Adarsh has it as), and Himmatwala as Flop.
