The soft, sweet music started up and around her, couples swayed to the beat of the tune. Sharon withdrew and tried to make herself inconspicuous. Her plain red mask was nothing compared to Kria' one. But her sister was ravishing while for her, evena grand mask could not make her as beautiful as sharon.
It was hard to pick out familiar faces with all the shiny, elaborate masks though she recognised a few people.Vicky wid neha and her sister kria wid reyaansh
hello," a soft, musical voice sounded out. Startled, kria turned to find herself staring at a tall, broad-shouldered man with startling emeraldgreen eyes. She examined his features and found him unrecognisable. "Sorry, you are...?" she asked softly. Maybe hewas new in town. That would explain why he was talking to her, the shy little girl.
that's a secret for you to guess." His lips curved intoa sensuous smile.
"Now will you dance with me?" He heldout his hand.
What? sharon stared at his hand as if an alien had sprouted. "Why would you dance with me of all people?" she asked disbelievingly. Surely he can seethat there are many prettier dance partners out there? Is he blind?
"Why wouldn't I?" he asked, genuinelyconfused.
kria bit her lip. It was a rare opportunity for her to be invited for a dance but if this turned out to be a prank like the other time...Oh well, sheshould just seize this chance.
"I would gladly, sir." She took his hand and allowed him to lead her to the dance floor
As the music struck up a different tune, kria allowed herself to immersein the moment. Her mysterious partnerwas a good dancer..Althought she couldn't see his face due to the mask,but his eyes reminded him of someone familiar..someone very close to her heart
As the music came to an end..Both of them were starting deeply into each other's eyes.The guy was lookin at krialovingly ,as if he knew her..while kria was looking at himg all confused..tRying to remember to whom these dark green resembled...Sharon was the one who stepped back first..
while the guy just kept on staring at her as if she was a puzzle. "thnku for the dance ," he said softly.
"May we meet again. Hopefully I will know your name by then." Sharon smiled."Same to you," he answered seriously. His green eyes twinkled with pleasure and he glanced once again at her before going out of the new year party.kria stared after him and gave a little sigh..
Sharon was somewhere a little disheartened she wanted to see her mysterious dance partner...somewhereshe felt connected with those eyes..she was walking towards her car.Kria told her that swayaw wouldbe dropping her..she was lost in her thoughts when she felt a tap on her shoulder..

she turned around to see the same guy she danced with,looking at her widloving eyes.
Hearing the woRds cupcake and pinky promise,the memories which were deep buried in her heart came in a rush..
" A young sharon smiled sweetly. "hi swayam..what happened why r u upset?"
" rey answered sadly as they laid downon the grass in Their skul's ground..I Am veqry fat na cupcake..i look like an elephant na..
no who told u that..that shivam who has nothing to do except scratching hisneck and bully around innocent kids..said kria sweetly
"You're the only one who would care to talk to me," he answered sadly."I bet nobody would marry me when I'm older."
"Don't worry!" sharon grabbed his hand and smiled. "If nobody marries you, I will!"
"Pinky promise?" swayam asked, holding out his little finger.
"Pinky promise!"sharon laughed.
Those were the innocent days.Swayam and sharon had been besties since the kintergarden days..They used to be together all the day.Their houses wer adjacent to each other and their father's were the best of friends...When swayam and sharon were 15 year old.Swayam's family shifted to newyork. Swayam and Sharon promised to be in touch..They were in touch until sharon's mom died.
And her father remarried. .he married a divorcee,she brought kria with herself..Who was of sharon's age.Sharon felt happy thinking she has got a new momand a sister cum friend..but slowly her new mother revealed her real identity..she used to love sharon and hate her...Kria being the beautiful one..everybody compared her to sharon and preferred kria.
..soon sharon changed into a quiet introvert person..she used to be to herself only...
but as soon she saw her sway,her bestfriend,her first love,she couldn't hold it back anymore she hugged him tightly and he too wrapped around her and engulfed her in a hug
FOR the first time in so many years,tears of happiness were flowing down her eyes..she was crying out of happiness.
..somehow in between her sobs she managed to say these words..swa..swayam..i missed u..u k..know
But rey didn't let her complete and cut her in between..
I knnw cup cake..i know what all u have faced.and i promise that i will erase those bad memories and will new memories.
our memories.. and with this she knew that the bad phase of her life has ended..a new ..haPpy life is awaiting her...
