Chapter 4
Taani reaches her uncles school. Her uncle was waiting for her as always.
Taani's uncle: Chethi ajja Taani putar, bohot bhuk lagi hai.
Taani: (walking fast)Aa gayi aa gayi, (reaches near his table, opens the lunch box one by one)ye lijiye, garma garam dal makhni,shaheer paneer aur apki favorite makki di roti!! Maine apne haatho se banayi hai. (stands smiling proudly)
All the staff members walk in, Taani's uncle the good person that he is, invites everyone to share the meal that his daughter brought for him, Everyone praises Taani which makes him feel very proud of her.
Taani's uncle: Jaa putar, 2 bajne ko aye, Panchi ka college chutne wala hoga, jate jate tu use pick karte ja.
Taani: (smiles) Ji chachaji, (she leaves the staff room and reaches near her bike,)Ab panchi ko pick karungi aur phir hum dono milke lunch karenge,lunch??? (Remebers her Lunch date with Yuvi) oo teri!!! Yuvi k saath lunch karne wali thi, (nervously opens her bags searching for her phone)Phone kithe gaya!!! (she couldn't find it) Hey bhagwan! Lagta hai ghar pe bhul ayi! Ab kya karu? Yuvi ne toh jagah bhi nahi bataya! Wo toh muje pick karne ane wala tha 1baje! Chal Taani, Yuvi ghar jane se pehle tuje ghar pohochna padega!

Its been one hour Yuvi was outside Taani's home.He starts honking again,annoyed with the noise Taani's aunt (Panchi's mother)walks out
Aunt: kyu shor macha raha hai Yuvraj!! Taani ghar pe nahi hai, wo toh school gayi hai, Panchi k papa ko lunch box dene!
Yuvi: (thinking) School chali gayi? Use toh maine kaha tha ki main use pick karne aunga! (takes out his phone and tries to call her but she doesn't answer as her phone was at home, Yuvraj now gets upset as he was in his bad mood already, he angrily starts his jeep and drives off, after few mins Taani reaches home, she runs inside)
Taani's aunt: Aare Taani putar, Wo yuvi aya tha tujse milne! Bada gussa lag raha tha!Chala gaya!
Taani gets tensed and starts biting her nails., runs and checks her phone, there be's 5 miscalls of Yuvi.
Tani: Yuvi gusse me tha! Ab main kya karu? (Dials Reys number)
Rey who just finished with his practice, was walking outside his class
Rey: haan Taani kya hua?
Taani: (worried) Gadbad ho gayi Rey!!! (tells him the whole story) Rey ab tu hi bata main kya karu? Jaisa tu bolega waise karungi.
Rey: was about to say something when he see's Yuvraj sitting in his jeep outside. He gets surprised,
Rey (to Taani): Taani tu tension mat le, main sab kuch sambhal lunga.
Taani: (tensed)pakka tu sambhal lega na Rey??
Rey: haan Taani, you trust me right?
Taani: ofcourse Rey!! Bye(both disconnect the call, Rey walks towards Yuvi who seemed a little upset. He gets in the jeep .
Rey: Tu yaha kaise? (looks at his cheek and notices the finger prints) Ye kya hua?? Yuvi??
Yuvi: (angry)pata nahi papaji ko kya dushmani hai tum dono se, bachpan se, bachpan se humesha tum dono k khilaf hi bolenge. Unko malum hai main nahi sun sakta phir bhi! Aare tum dono mere dost ho, unko kya farak padta hai ki main aamir k saath ghumu ya..(stops as he dint want to address his friends as Garib)Chodd yaar! Unko kya malum, khudke to ek bi dost nai hai.
Rey didn't know what to say, since the time they became friends they have had this discussion several times,. This was nothing new to them. Suddenly Rey remembers about Taani and deciedes to change the topic.
Rey: oh toh tu isliye upset hai, Muje laga ki tu Taani ki wajah se..!!
Yuvi: (still upset)Taani? Uske chakkar mein maine ghar se jo biji ne biryani bheji thi wo bhi nahi khayi. Lunch pe jane wale the hum!Par wo toh apni chacha ji ko lunch dene gayi! Agar udhar jana tha toh bol sakti thi na? mera phone bhi answer nahi kia? ek ganta wait kiya maine uske ghar k bahar! Yuvi kisi ka wait nahi karta kabhi!! Milne de abhi usko, aisa daant lagaunga na, kabhi nahi bulegi.
Rey: (smiles) acha?? (takes his phone and gives Yuvi), Ye le..call kar aur daant le usko.
Yuvi looks at Rey and the phone.
Yuvi: (nervous)Tu sach mein chahta hai ki main use call karu?? (Rey nodes his head saying Yes, Yuvi speaks nervously) Waise darta nahi hoon main use, main daant dunga use sachi mein!!(starts searching her number, Rey keeps looking at Yuvi)
Rey: (trying to control his laughter)haan haan, maine kab kaha ki tu darta hai?? Call kar aur daanth de usko,aise kaise wait karaya tujse? Yuvi kabhi kisika wait nahi karta!
Yuvi still fidgeting with Rey's phone,
Rey starts laughing.:Look at you, tu fattu hai, sab ke samne sher bane firega, aur Taani k samne??? (again laughs)Taani k samne bolti band ho jati hai teri.
Yuvi: (blushing, scratching his head)Darta nahi hoon, Pyaar karta hoon use!! (Rey gradually stops laughing and smiles at Yuvi)Gussa bhi nahi reh sakta use!Propose bhi nai kar pa raha tha usko!! Yaad hai kaise propose kia usko?? (starts laughing)
Rey: Main kaise bhul sakta hu? Tu itna dara hua tha!! Itni mehnat ki maine tere liye.
Flashback,
12 year old Yuvi wearing his school uniform walking back and forth on the school ground.
Yuvi: (nervous)Rey kithe gaya?? Taani ka extra class khatam hone wala hai. Maine kaha tha use ane k liye. Lekin agar Taani pehle ayi to main Taani ko kahunga kya?? (scratches his head) Rey ka baccha bhi na!! usko kaha tha maine ki aaj main Taani ko bataunga ki wo meko kitni achi lagti hai. Bola tha ki aaj extra classes k badh main paka bataunga. Phir kithe gaya?? (just then Taani comes from behind)
Taani: muje yaha kyu bulaya tune?
Yuvi: (in his mind) Mar gaya!!!Chal Yuvi bol hi de ab (turns and faces taani) wo Taani, tujko wo, bolna tha ki, wo kya hai na, main, (swallows his saliva) dekh, tu aur main friends hain, abhi, main aur tu friends hain na?
Taani: (confused) haan, main tu aur Rey! (smiles) hum tino friends nahi, best friends hai. Pura school janta hai!!
Yuvi: haan, Best friends hai!! Rey aur Tu aur main, best friends hai, lekin main, wo, tu jo hain na, ladki hai, aur main na ladka hu, toh ,Rey ko side mein rakh,
Taani: (annoyed) Yuvi tuje kya hua hai? Rey ko side mein kyu rakhu?? Wo mera best friend hai..Aur Muje pata ki tu ladka hai aur main ladki hu, Ye bhi koi batane wali baat hai kya? ye batane tune yaha bulaya muje?
Yuvi:Nahi, tu samaj nahi rahi. (scratches his head and just notices Rey came running and stands behind a tree, Taani's back facing Rey, Rey came with some charts, with something written on it, Yuvi smiles at Rey, Taani still looking at Yuvi all confused, Rey picks on chart and shows it to Yuvi, Yuvi reads it)
Yuvi: Muje pata hai Main humesha tuje jhalli, pagli, pagal kehke pareshan karta rehta hu, tera tiffin khata hu aur teri ice cream bhi kha leta hu, aur tu humesha muje de bhi deti hai, Lekin aisa toh sirf unke saath karte hai jinko hum apna mante hai. Hain na??
(Rey throws that chart down and picks another one, Taani looking at Yuvi all surprised and confused, Yuvi again looks at the chart and reads)
YUvi: ek tu hi hai, jiske saath main apne saare problems share kar sakta hu, ek tu hi hai jiske samne I can be myself. Tu dost hoke bhi humesha mere liye dost se jyada rahi hai, Kyunki, (Rey keeps his chart down, Yuvi stops, Rey signals him to say it, But YUvi all confused)
Taani: (confused)Kya hua?? Rukh kyu gaya?? Aur tu piche kyu dekh raha hai?? (She turns, Rey abruptly hides behind the tree, Taani looks at Yuvi) Kya hua Yuvi?
Yuvi : (nervous) haan wo, tu hi hai jiske samne I can be myself, kyunki? (looks at Rey, Rey whispers "bol na?? bol I'."
Yuvi: (trying to read Rey's lips) I'(smiles at Taani and looks at Rey)
Rey: Bol.. I..Love You Taani.
Yuvi:Kya???
Taani: (confused) kYa?? (reys hits his forehead out of frustration.. Yuvi scratches his head, Rey gets an idea, he tries to act I Love you, He starts pointing out to his eyes)
Yuvi: aankh??Brown aankhen?
Taani: brown aankhen?? Rey k ankhein brown hai? (tensed)Kya hua uske aankho ko?
Rey frustrated starts banging his head on the tree, again starts pointing to his eye, now Yuvi understood what he was trying to say.
Yuvi:Nahi nahi' Eye'. Matlab I.. I'(hits his chest) main Taani.. I..
Taani: oh tum..tumhe kya hua?
Rey points out to his heart and makes a heart with his hand.
Yuvi: heart.. matlab.. Love.. (Rey looks at Taani and smiles and points out to taani)
Yuvi: I love you Taani!!(looks at Taani, he be's surprised that he said it) Haan, (looks at Taani) I love you Taani.
Taani all shocked, She dint know how to react,her smile fades and she gives him a shocked expression, she bites her lower lip out of nervousness,puts the strands of hair behind her ear,keeps looking her and there not able to look at yuvi. Yuvi standing all scared of how she will react, Taani doesn't say a word and Runs from there, Yuvi all tensed, Rey also tensed coz she ran, Yuvi looks at rey, both worried.

Taani: Aur ab.. (curiously)Tuje kuch bataya kya usne?? Mere bare mein baatein karta tha kya wo? TUje toh wo sab kuch batata hai na? mere bare mein kuch bola kya?
Rey: (thinking) kya kahu? Yuvi ne toh jyada kuch bola nhai. Lekin agar kuch nai kahunga toh shayad Taani Yuvi ko serious na le, (looks at Taani who very eagerly waiting for him to answer her question,Rey keeps staring at her, wind was blowing her hair all over her face and she was taking it off strand by strand,her eyes waiting for Rey to say something, He keeps staring at her eyes and automatically starts talking.
