She shot to fame as Gunjan of Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke on the small screen. Hailed as one of the top five most popular characters on air now, Roopal Tyagi is in a happy place. This Bengaluru hudugi misses home, dotes on the lovely temperate weather and isn't averse to acting in Kannada films either!
She was only 15 when showbiz beckoned her invitingly. "I was just about entering tenth standard at Sophia High School when I participated in a dance show. I've always wanted to be an actor but didn't think dance was a bad idea either," says this doe-eyed actress who essays the main role in SSLK. Ace choreographer Pony Verma, whose titillating moves for The Dirty Picture fetched her many awards, noticed Roopal at the dance competition and asked her try her luck in Mumbai.
