Am glad we finally have a female lead who is imperfect..Besides the fact that this show is named after the male lead, this is another first on Indian telly..We are usually used to seeing the sati savitri bharatiya naari female leads who are always so accommodating and ready to sacrifice at the drop of a hat..And here you have Kumud who is scorned cos a guy had the audacity to reject HER without seeing her face.. Instead of moping around and cursing her fate, she challenges him and even after he comes all the way to do her bidding, she is not finished..Infact her ego is bruised to such an extent that she refuses to show her face to him..Now you would expect her to melt when he saves her father, but no she doesn't quit being judgmental and refuses to acknowledge his effort..Kumud is judgmental, stubborn and proud but has a flawless heart..This makes her human and prone to doing mistakes and not Goddess incarnate unlike other female leads..Kusum actually comes across as more balanced and level headed than Kumud and this is such a refreshing change..a flawed female lead prone to making mistakes, having layers to her character and doesn't come across as one dimensional-now isn't this a refreshing change?😳

Sure is! We have been so used to sympathising with the female lead who is always so demure, coy and self sacrificing.. Here its just the other way round..Its the male lead who at the moment gets all the audiences sympathy.. She is flawed and thats what makes her so relatable.. I know what she is doing is wrong but I can relate to her actions..Ego is never a good thing but its something you see in people.. We sometimes fight with our friends and in the heat of things say hurtful things..But our ego stops us from being the first one to apologise.. Im sure it happens with a lot of us..so yes its indeed a refreshing change to see such a relatable character on TV.. She knows she is wrong and now she has to take few steps back..I think Saras never meant to leave ..I think it was a conscious decision to move to Vidyachatur's room..He will make her realise that if he did a mistake by rejecting her without seeing her then today she did a mistake too by judging him without knowing him.. The ball is in her court and she knows it..

perfection in a female lead is so done to death...imperfections in a female lead makes the whole show interesting...SC won't have a dull moment in his life...i think he can forget about his meditation schedule...dyaan toh waise bhi nahin lagne wala...with that sound of chamcham that makes him go in a trance ...😆

Lol so true.. What I also like about this whole situation is that Saras too isnt acting henpecked .. Loved that dialogue ''why should I tolerate her ego? '' True match!!! He gets angry and he shows it..Glad he gave it back to her in his own way..even though that chanchan distracted him for a second 😆 but he did put his point across firmly.. and smart guy I must say..now getting himself transported to his father in laws room means that Kumud will have a hard time hiding her face from him..not when her father is always so hyper about their alliance..

I am so happy that for the first time we have such a different female lead. It is always usually the male lead who is egotistical and has the female chasing after him. But is SC kumud is so proud and egotistical she can't even bring herself to thank the person who saved her father, it's so refreshing and I am loving kumud more and more. Saras also has a temper on him, he immediately went to his room and started packing, but he also has a huge soft side and decides to stay for vidya, but also to prove to kumud he is not selfish. I bet if kumud showed Sara's some affection he would melt and stay forever but kumud is just not going to give up.

yes indeed they are well matched...his anger is justified...she doesn't know a single thing about his character but has made character judgements based on his rejection of her ...which was done in all good intention as he deemed it...
her anger was too but maybe not anymore but as her ego has been badly bruised she's not ready to give in and listen to him...atleast not yet...
when kumud called him a coward...it did hurt his ego and to prove her wrong he came all the way from dubai...
when SC rejected kumud her ego was hurt but instead of looking at his sincere intentions in the letter she just saw his selfishness and cowardice...
thats whats different between these two...

so true...it definitely is refreshing to see a different female character in TV...Kumud is like how most of us girls are...we all possess some egos and we wouldn't take any crap that comes our way like shown in most of the shows and Kumud is how we actually are. I am sure even I would have been as egoistic as her if some family sent the proposal first, then the guy wrote a letter to me saying he can't marry without even seeing or knowing me...but the thing is Kumud is realizing she is going little overboard with the "hurt" issue...really excited to see what will she do now!

@DoJin- Agree on everything except one point.. I dont think he came to Ratnagiri because his pride was hurt by the fact that she called him coward.. She was right that day..he DID act like coward by taking the easy route to reject her..and he came to Ratnagiri not coz his ego was hurt but because he was confused, intrigued by this girl who literally spit fire, almost unapologetically gave him a reality check yet there was something about her that caught his imagination.. whether it was the fire in her, her delicate waist, her soft silhoutte, her tinkling trinkets..her dint know but he was feeling compelled to find out.. That day she was right..today she is not..Today she did the same mistake as he did ..for which she has been accusing him..infact her mistake is bigger..coz it has ego written all over it..and she knows it..just like Saras knew he was wrong..he made a move towards apology..lets see what Kumud will do..
