The Week that Was

What happened in your serial world this week? Did your favourite soaps move a mile or are still inching their way through the stagnated path waiting for a ride on the bus of eye popping and jaw dropping twists...

We bring you a snap shot of how the kahani's fared this week on Sony...

AMITA KA AMIT

The week was started with engagement preparations and ended with an hastening of the wedding date. In between we had different family members playing a hide and seek game with Amita's diary. The excitement of the wedding among Amita's family and friends more then her;apprehensions on what life would be with an ordinary bride who doesnot standout for the groom and his mother were nicely touched upon.

A good ensemble cast and flawed deglamorized leads who act their part well are the shows strengths. However a good telly viewing experience demands interesting movement of the plot too. Drama in the form of a sick would be relative in the hospital wishing for a quick marriage of Amit & Amita. A sheer glee on the thought of a new bumbling bahu for the conniving SIL &DIL failed to inspire enthusiasm for the track this week.
To perk up viewers interest the serial needs to be more innovative in the presentation of cliched incidents or bring in mint fresh sequences..
The serial needs hatke plots along with unconventional lead pairing..

Nice post.

quite a funny & interesting week it was.

Engagement went fine but Diary issue was lil over-dramatic. It gives feeling of typical Indian TV show. adding Villainous Tina Kaki & Ria was major let down. AKA is likeable for as you said close to real non-glamorous Leads and characters. it would have been better off without villains.

Amit's Mom's disliking for Amita is justifiable but at the same time.. viewers fear this going again like Saas-bahu drama.

As much as I agree that any TC show needs lil masala to keep the viewers interest intact, making it another cliched story would be no fun.

Amita ka Amit is wonderful show as it is.. and it can attract Young viewers more than any age group so it would be much likeable if Creatives keep it couple oriented and reality oriented rather than making it another Saas-Bahu saga with plotting villains. 😊
