Hello everyone, I am new to this forum of Crime Patrol but I have always been a big fan of CP.
Sorry, I am making a topic without introducing myself. Hi I am ujala and I am new to CP forum...I tried a lot to find the Introduction thread but failed...Anyways back to topic

I have a suggestion for the cases which are being stretched for many years and when the victims or their family finally gets justice they have actually suffered so much that the punishment for the criminal seems small in front of the victims family sufferings and wait.
So I was thinking that why not add the years to the punishment of the criminal when proven guilty.
For example if a murder case has been stretched for 20 years and finally when the criminal is punished and if given the punishment for 14 years the 20 years of the trial should be added to his punishment. like 20+14=34 years of punishment. This way at least the long struggle for justice will finally be worth the wait and the family will be assured that even if they are waiting for so many years they will get its due. Its my personal opinion...What do you guys think? Do tell 😊
ujala 😊

Actually, your point is right. The victim have to suffer a lot and then the punishment given is really stupid or like cracking a joke on the victim...

Agree with you...

Agree with you. The person who is convicted of the crime should be punished in such a way that even after their death they will never forget it.

The thing with punishment like jail, is that it costs insane amounts of money to keep the prisoners. They government pays for food, clothes, and other utilities. That's actually why so many people get released early for good behaviour, because jails are over crowded.

But I definitely do agree with your point of the criminal suffering. Personally, I'm more inclined to go with capital punishment but that's a pretty controversial opinion lol.

It makes me so angry when court cases are stretched. It's just a stupid avoidance tactic. Seriously, I have no idea how victims families' don't lose if after cases stretch on. I would go crazy if I had to wait that long for justice.

you are absolutely right... I think for major crimes like rape and murder there should be no punishment less than death sentence...
