Purvi knew before moving to Kolkata that she was pregnant. Dr. Breganza in Mumbai is the one who tells her she is pregnant (FB scene of Purvi feeling faint in the K kitchen) and that is one of the reasons Purvi leaves Mumbai. Dr. Breganza also remarks later that Purvi was pregnant before marriage but has found a good husband when she sees Purvi in the hospital while she is waiting there with Arjun for Ovi and Onir to arrive.

In Kolkata, when Purvi faints, Onir finds out she is pregnant.
