Thank you all for your comments. Warmly received and accepted.
I must be honest at the expense of being labelled as hypocritical, that all this appreciation was not needed. Because I feel embarrassed at reading so many thanks and actually I can never much handle lot of thanks and congrats @real. Thank goodness this is virtual exchange. Now people can stop at that.
However, all those thanks should be for yourself for creating a good place for yourself and that you are able to tolerate me as your moderator as well. By this time, you must have got to know me. 😆
>>>That being said, this is an open forum and thread right? You/we don't have to prove or reiterate your objectivity to anyone...
>>>>Don't let anyone ever make you believe otherwise.
Its not about proving or my belief being shaken in the comments I read. Its also about how we are being perceived otherwise when not in the group. That my tone of response and report was not kind, I do agree. But I was not kind because those comments at which I reacted were from those whom I knew, who have been part of this thread and hence I was disappointed. Wouldn't it have been better if those people had spoken here so that we could have our corrections here itself. But the fact that they chose to say elsewhere, made it also appear to me that, we have grown really into a formidable place. A place with good power, that people have some expectations of it, which then creates additional responsibility in us that we maintain the quality of it. So I took it as feedback and went elsewhere on the forum and scouted for that sensitivity that our thread seemed to lack. When I made my round and was convinced that we did not digress much, I took the opportunity of answering to Sima.
I should be apologizing personally to Sima and Peach (Sonu) for starting my post at random like that yesterday. My response came out quite instinctively to her question. But then I too am a nutcase like RK...become unstoppable if something itches me. See that's RK for you...Choleric people. 😆 Sima and Peach both of them are my oldest buddies over this forum and they both have been with me since the thread started. Both of them do not post their reviews, but have always been a support here with making their respites thus nurturing the thread in the initial days. They are real buddies. So I took that liberty with them. Sima is most of the time busy with her work, but is a Rishbala fan like us. Peach has lost all hope for Rishbala and the show doesn't interest her anymore. She says her inspiration for those original posts of hers is gone with all the tracks that she doesn't connect to. People over the forum are just happy to see any kind of post from her these days. She was once Madhubala of the week or month I forget...She was that much into the show then..
I also liked that because of my attempt to raise the topic...that we must maintain our objective...we got the response from silent reader such as Cutieee1992 who penned her concerns. We have answered her and also taken her feedback. And further down...I will again have to apologize to Soundarya for sharing the information with you all; which she shared with me via pm mode. As she was shocked at the feedback our thread got, she decided to show it to her mother. When her mother read it, probably yesterday's or day before yesterday's episode. she got the feel that thread is a little bit pro-RK.
That set me really thinking hard on my age group and Sounds' mother's age group. Then I knew exactly how to the explain the problem behind the perceptions. Idealism Vs Realism Vs Cynicism. Youngsters and Older people bond together in many respects as in the older people after living through the cynicism of middle age are not afraid to go back to idealism, because that is what optimism is about ...to believe in unthinkable and march ahead in life. And what are we here...most of us are that stage of our life, where we are hard pressed by reality of life and hence would like to have some hang of realism or fast food style Subway pick-up meal which, or if real is becoming too much, we just want to escape being hopelessly romantics worse than our kids. It boils down to sense of time on hands on the matter we are prepared to give our precious time from our limited time kitty.
So the blend of the review also stems from our personal state of mind. However, good writers need to be able to step out of their actual mindset and present the review and analysis based on their objective knowledge of life, situations and dramatic presentations, and that's when it becomes enjoyable. The mind just needs to be free of all shackles and we review it the form we choose to review. For ex: some days I go into poetic mode, some days I go into ridicule mode...I too need that inspiration to kick in when I write. We seek literary techniques to express ourselves better. And thing is one doesn't need to be a learned student to be able to write with certain technique. Its all about how we train our mind to be impressed and then feel expressed.
Its a long ramble, but makes sense to write it down here, considering what thought process went in my mind since yesterday afternoon to this morning when I checked Sounds pm. My page 1 post is a result of the comment from Soundarya's Mom. My thanks to her. My thanks to all of you.
With or without your comments or support, I know the thread means to you a lot. So I like to nurture it, defend it and feel like helping the writers here. Why? Creative aspect never should be stifled in anyone. It elevates one's mind. So if I am seeing potential in someone, its my duty to give that person a little knowledge if I happen to have it. For me its again all in the name of spiritual advancement of self.
And Zoya...Nari Shakti ki Jai Ho... ???!!! tell me is there a Man's Day ? I just wanted to say, I enjoy being a woman if I have men also living in the world around me, otherwise, it would become one boring place to live.
