all are sttn in hasmukh's shok sabha clad in white..wen his debtors come and ask them fr money...suman gets up n asks thm fr sm time n so does her mom but thy get wrked up n tell thm to sell th house to settl th debts.

thy also say things to th effct tht is hasmukh didnt think of his family bfr dyin y shld thy!

goon kinda people come in n drive evryone out....thts wen hasmukh wakes up frm his dream on th road.

bck home mom is sttn wen chaitali comes n switches th tv on ..mom says to put it off cause dad is home..n chaitali is crbbn bout y dad shldnt let thm wtch tv n picks up a book...

dad comes in and tells chaitali to wtch tv since her xms are ovr...

mom n chit(chaitali) r nonplussed ..he evn asks her to wtch songs n not news since she likes songs..mom n chit exchnge luks...mom asks if she shld arrnge dinnr but he tells them to wait fr Su.

Su comes in n is apprehensive since she ws late...but dad tells her its ok n tht thr musta been a valid reason fr it....shes nonplussed n so r chit n mom(again.)...Su goes in to change

Dad goes into his room to change wen he recalls wht th taxidrvr had told him bout th farmer killin his family n himslf....he perspires n finll gets up n puts the rat poison bottl in his kurta pocket...

chit is helpin mom with dnnr arrrangements wen mom goes in to get smthn n dad comes n takes th rag frm her hands to wipe the dishes...again chit is srprsd...he asks her to go fetch su..

Sun n chit tlk in their room bout dads behaviour n xcited n dumbfounded at th same time.

here...dad thinks ..n perspires n finally empties th poison in th daal.

evrybdy sits on th tabl wen he says tht he himslf wil serve th daal..

again "the srprised" factor on evry face...

he is on th edge lukin at them eat...til now no one has touchd th daal ...su suddnly says she has smthn to say ...she apologises to him n tells him tht though he said no she went out n lukd fr a job n just as he said tht fortune favours the brave not the weak who give up n blame destiny, she got a job ...hasmukh is shockd....su gets up n gets sweets n touches her parents feet

hasmukh is in a daze...

thy suddnly cut to the scene wen he probably says tht th daal is too cold n takes evryones daal n says he himslf wil heat it...he takes it o th kitch n is ovrwhelmed by th enormity of wht he ws bout to do...

he dumps th daal into th sink...su sees this frm outside says nuthn n goes bck...

dad comes n sits on th tabl and says tht the daal slipped frm his hands...su is shocked to hera him lie n keeps lukin at him wide-eyed while evryone eats..
