hes a very complex character and thats what i like about him
he doesnt fit those only two categories of men on tv the softspoken and the other well ASR types 😆
He gives respect to his elders to his religion to his dad because his mom told so
hes scared of marrying because he doesnt want to do what his dad did
i think when he realises he loves kumud hopelessly already hes going to let go of that baggage

it depends actually if i was kumud i would be pissed like hell ya!! but once i come to know the dard as they say behind his rejection i guess i would understand and then make him fall for me kumud style!😛😆
and this only because kumud seems like the girl who will get what she loves

though ya she will turn into the scarificial lot later on 👎🏼 accordinfg to the novel at least

I have fallen for him because he is just a Perfect Package!
However, coming to the show... he has lost his mother at a young age and the fact he was very attached to her. He is emotionally weak and that is why he is a bit of an introvert. I am really liking the shades and layers of his character he is lovely man with a strong past! Gautam is doing a fantastic job playing Saras and he is getting into depth with his character!
Kumud's character is also superbly scripted. She is portrayed with a strong streak of confidence. Jenny is playing the character again very well. She has every right to be uncertain about her marriage with Saras. I feel every girl goes through this stage as marriage is a lifetime decision which you cant just back out on. I feel with time they will realise they are perfect for each other. I really loved the haldi scene when she was applying it to his hand it was beautifully acted by both of them!
Cant wait to see how they get closer! Their chemistry is out of this world!

SaraswatiChandra seems to be an awesome person with rare combination of strong sanskaar, compassion, intellect and good looks. He would be THE perfect guy if he did not have such a gigantic emotional baggage.

He lost his beloved Mom when he was a kid, grew up with distant father and a scheming step-mother. He seems to have absolutely no friend or confidant – someone you share your thoughts with and whose shoulder you may lean on once in a while and vice versa. He seems to be forever living in the past and well, one cannot drive a car looking through the rearview mirror instead of the windshield.

He needs to sort out this internal upheaval, learn to love himself and live in the present and for the future. Till he calms down the storm that is raging within, he will not be at peace and will not be able to be a good life-partner for anyone.

Many people go through tragedies in their childhood and their youth and may not even be as privileged as him. In order to move ahead, they too have to learn to live for today by letting go of the past. Letting go is not the same as forgetting; it just means that one must stop self-flagellation and keeping the wounds fresh.

At this moment, he needs time to heal himself before starting any new bond, else he will end up destroying himself and others.

I actually wouldn't mind a guy like Saras because I see myself being a rebel. The challenges Kumud gives him do remind me of myself, but I don't think I would accept him by just looking at the eyes.

But Saras's character is really good. The guy is amazing and I don't think anyone could say no to a guy like that.

Oh and he's real patient, what would happen if ever lost his temper?

Like today Kumud didn't turn around when he asked her? How long will he able to contain himself?

Oh and feel like he needs help to sort out his inner turmoil regarding his mother.

I dont know whether i will be able to take up the responsibility of helping such a messed up guy*Come on..he is messed up internally* But i guess if i felt the connection that Kumud is apparently feeling from his presence and touch..Well then i will be a heck of an Idiot and give him a chance.

To be honest, I don't really get him yet. I don't understand what drives him.. Why this immovable rejection of even the idea of marriage? Until they show us the back story of why he is the way he is, I won't be able to make up my mind on what I think of him..

On the face of it, I like the traditional facet of his character. I guess I'm old fashioned, but I like that in a guy. Especially when the traditional values are offset with modern practicality, to an extent..

Having said that, I don't think I would've fallen for the eyes or the mere idea of him, without once meeting him, as Kumud seems to have done.. :D

Thank you for the appreciation, dear.
I am almost 33 years old. I guess life (one's own and observing others') gives one a multi-dimensional perspective.
