I agree with you. Generally, A Mom figure put jewelery on Girl like how Amita's dad did. Amit's Mom should have done that. She would have been saved from Rohan's Mom's taunts.. šš
The ad which you mentioned.. I haven't seen but such ads should be banned. what type of mentality is this?
I myself am not fair.. I have a normal indian brownish complexion.. and it was even more darker when I was in India. My Cousin was very fair & slim.. and I always was compared to her.. saying, look at her she is perfect & you are healthy.. even not fair, do something. As a child.. it used to affect me a lot, The reason why I like Amita ka Amit is I can somewhere relate to it.
but when I grew up.. I hardly cared coz then I was confident with who I am. Luckily I got someone to whom it didn't matter.š
I have seen many cases where MIL want fair & slim bahu.. one of my friend's Mom rejected his girl-friend on purely Complexion basis. š (though later on he stood firm & she accepted) but the point is.. you don't care about someone's nature or thinking.. all that matters is Looks
The mentality needs to be changed.. we have to see the person for who he/she is and not looks. I hope Amit's Mom comes out being better person after knowing Amita.š
