Most of the hindu weddings are done with Bride wearing a Saree....Lehenga only came around with the turn of the century...

Marathi wedding brides wear yellow, green saree during the pheras.

I know this cos my best friend is Marathi.

You know I am nobody to comment on these forums , but I read all the posts very regulary but I just wanted to put my 2 cents in...I have noticed lately that all the moderators are on an edge all the time. This is a discussion forum and everyone has the right to speak their mind. We all live in a free country and some people on this forum live in different parts of the world and this is their normal lingo...and it is not at all offensive intentinally...
