Shital Shah – Beyond the tough cop as Aayesha in Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek
Pretty as a Picture – Shital Shah as Aayesha Kapoor in Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek
Aayesha Kapoor of Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek has a tough job. Whether it is to be part of a team that is all male on field and to add to that a cop isn't easy. A cop's role traditionally is considered a man's job. Tough conditions, blood, gore and criminals are part of life that would shake a man much less a woman. Aayesha, though is a tough cookie. She has worked her way up, developing skills in ammunition, to being an undercover cop, which is perhaps the toughest part of being a cop. An assignment that could go south at any point in time is like walking on knife's edge, one wrong move and death is imminent. Aayesha has handled it all. But she is a woman, with sensitivity that may not be visible to start with. She is a woman after all can be seen by her inquisitive questioning of ACP Sameer Rathore (Behzaad Khan) about Arjun Suryakant Rawte (Shaleen Malhotra), the enigmatic man. And her camaraderie with Rathore is visible too, a woman to man. Even Rathore is taken in with that. Or so we think. Also we see warmth developing between Aayesha, Shree (Siddharth Sen) and Chhotu (Ketan Karande). With the new recruit Lisa D'cruz (Ritu Chauhan), the equation is yet to set. Will there be friendship or rivalry? Time will tell.
- Doodling in between shots
Shital Shah who plays Aayesha Kapoor in Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek has had an interesting journey so far. Her first day of shoot involved her lifting a bazooka and firing it. She made it look easy. And it is not. That thing weighed a ton. However, you all have seen that and know that (from us). She is a person who juggles varied aspects of her character with aplomb. Be it, running in the jungle or walking down a busy street. Yes the shoot takes one from places to places and we recently asked her how she feels about the new location everyday, her reply has been that it is tough and when they shoot the office sequences, it feels like home. The reason, it is the only part which is shot at one place. Phew. Some familiarity helps. And that also gives a little time to doodle in between shots in the comfort of an air-conditioned office. Our camera caught her doing just that one day.
