Chapter 23

Manyata was watching the news of her accident and her apparent death when uday returned.

U: so manyata now you are officially dead, how does it feel to be dead when you're alive?

M: wow!😆 It feels great, now which is this place? Is this heaven and are you a angel?

M: this angel is so soft and beautiful. I love you uday😳

Uday and jaggat was driving towards devgarh royal palace. They were invited for a memorial service of manyata. Also, her will would be read after the service so all her business partners were too invited. Uday intended to take manyata to the palace later in the evening

J: this royal palace always used to amaze me. Now it looks so dull, like somebody took its light away

U: but till now we did not get the result of the bone analysis, uday said as he knew the truth. Everything was ging as he planned

J: but uday all circumstantial evidence points that way

He fishes for something in his pocket

Here, look at this ring(it was a beautiful ring that got slightly burned at the edges due to the explosion) see the seal, it's the royal sign of devgarh dynasty and manyata never ever removed this ring from her hand. Now I got it from one of the finger bones

Uday looks at the ring, and moves his head away, silently laughing in his mind.😆 The ring was manytaa's idea. She was really a bright girl.😃 Now he needed to implement the second part of his plan

Uday drove his car along the long driveway to devgarh palace. He had excused himself earlier saying that he needed to visit his office. He then left to pick up manyta. Together they left to devgarh. As they approached devgarh manyata lay down under the back seat. The guards had seen uday enter the palace earlier and allowed him to drive away without checking the car

As they drove past the guards manyta gave a sigh of relief, she was really scared. Soon they reached the car parking area and uday got out. He asked manyta to remain in the car

U: manyata remember run towards your room the moment the power gets cut . don't linger anywhere. I will reach your room in 5 minutes

M: uday be careful🥱, the guards are armed

U: don't worry manyta nothing will happen to me, and get ready the power will go out in a few minutes

M: ok uday

Uday left manyta and went to the power room, there were about 3-4 guards in that room. The room had the main power supply and inverters for the palace. The guards looked bored. Uday quickly hid behind the pillar and fished out a small cracked from his pocket. He lit the cracker and threw it outside

BOOM BOOM BOOM the cracker burst. The guards were alarmed hearing the noise and rushed out of the room to search the source of the sound, uday quickly entered the power room and offed the backup inverters first and then went on to off the main power supply. The switch was difficult to pull, but uday used his entire strength and offed the power, the palace was literally in darkness. He then ran away from that place and headed to manyta's room.

Manyta was waiting for the power to go, when she heard the sound BOOM .first she feared uday was hurt and was about to rush to his side when the power went off. My!!! She was really relieved. So uday had succeeded. She quickly ran to her room. It was difficult to move around without light but manyta knew the palace like the back of her palm and went quickly to her room. She went and hid in her closet. Very soon the lights came back. Manyta listened for any sort of footsteps to her room and when she heard none, she came out of her closet and looked at her room . the room was left the same way as she had left it. she felt a sense of great peace. She went and sat on her bed, and closed her eyes

Her thoughts were interrupted when uday entered the soon.

U: so this is my princess's room. I like its style

M: its my designing. Now we are inside the palace, so what's next uday?

U: I saw your mom in the durbar, want to meet her

M: no, I don't want to😡

U: come on manyta it would be fun, put on any white dress you have

M: why?

U: lets scare her na, ghost of manyta came to visit her booo

M: what!! Are you out of your mind, does anyone in this 21 th century believe in ghosts. This is really ridiculous😲

U: so you don't believe in ghost, do you?

M: no, I don't it is just a child's imagination😕

U: princess, if I dare you to spent some time alone in your one room, alone without lights,, you would do but if I tell you there is some supernatural power in your room, then your unconscious mind would automatically register that fact and then I bet you won't be able to stay in your room for more than 10 minutes due to fear deep inside your mind. All this is purely psychological

M: but still

U: come on manyta be a sport

M: umm, ok let me change then, so leave please

U: come on princess, don't be shy na

M: you're so shameless uday, please let me change

U; ok I will be outside

Manyta changes and comes in a white salwar suit and together they leave to the darbar, luckily for them they did not meet anyone on the way, and they reached their destination. Uday asked manyta to enter the darbar first, then he followed her. The darbar was dark and scarily silent . the sound of manyta's anklet broke the silence and komal who was standing in the hall, looking at manyta's photo, turned back. Fear gripped her

K: who is it?

Manyta did not reply but continued to walk along the circumference of the durbar. Uday was watching this scene from behind a pillar. Komal left the room to arm herself, she went to the dining room and took a knife and came back. Manyta had reached the place where her photo was kept. Her eyes were moistened thinking that her own mother had tried to kill her. She did not notice that komal had entered the room holding a knife, but uday did see that . he fished his pocket and got a piece of twine and tied a knot to it and swung it in air like a lasso

As komal was about to hit manyta, uday swung the twine and it tightened around komal's neck, she felt suffocated. This disturbance brought manyta out of her trance and she turned around to see komal trying to remove the lasso around her neck. Uday was seen behind her

Manyta was about to ask her mother why she had become so heartless, when someone called her. Uday signaled her to move away to safety soon and uday pushed komal and left the place with manyta. Back in their room uday felt sad seeing a heartbroken manyta. She had been brave in all stages of the plan, yet now when she saw the raw hatred in her mother's eyes it broke her😭. Uday tried to pacify her, but she could not control the tears that flowed from her eyes, she cried on uday's shoulder and uday hugged her to show his support. 😭They were in that position for some time, before uday got up and told her that he needed go back to his room as people may become suspicious about his whereabouts. Manyta hugged him for the last time and uday kissed her forehead before leaving

Chapter 23.a

Uday had tipped that morning to jaggat that he had heard a conversation between brigraj and an unknown person last night. He was not able to sleep and had gone for a walk when he heard the conversation between them. It was clear from their talk that manyta was killed by them and brigraj was the mastermind. He told jaggat to go and arrest brigraj and take him away

Jaggat had done what uday had told him.it lead to a huge commotion and finally it resulted in komal confessing the truth. Uday was watching all this developments with great interest

K:Yes I killed her,😡 If it was possible I would have killed her with my own hands

"Then kill me now, maa" said a voice

All looked at the source of the sound. There stood manyata live and beautiful.

"my angel"😳 thought uday

M: don't look surprised, I am not dead it was a drama to catch the conspirator in my own family. Forgive me people, if I did not catch the person soon my life would be endangered again

M: jaggat there is one more person to be arrested here, she said looking at uday

J: who?

M: mr shark, the notorious criminal, for killing rohan and many other innocent lives

J: who is he? That bas**d😡

Manyata pointed her finger towards the place where uday stood. Finally she felt that shehad unmasked mr shark in front of the world. She had done her duty as a yuvarani, she had fought evil. But did her heart ache ?

All looked at the direction manyata pointed

"what!"

" no , its not possible"😕

"manyata are you sure?"

"what madness is this?"😲

J: what is this manyata ? he is a prominent business personnel. He can't be mr shark. You never know how broken he was when you were missing. Mr shark is a notorious criminal. But, what about him? I don't believed It .Are you sure manyata?

M: jaggat I am the one who was kidnapped. Not you. I saw my kidnapper and I am saying it is him .then why do you doubt me I can give you ENOUGH proof for it. Arrest him jaggat

J: but

M: I can't order you or force you to do anything, but I am an Indian citizen. I want justice jaggat. I WANT ROHAN'S KILLER TO BE BROUGHT BEFORE LAW. I want justice

Saying this she looked at uday's eyes🤢

He was busy enjoying the developments in the palace, but manyata betrayed him. his eyes were stone cold, they were indeed the eyes of a killer. All the warmth the eyes had in the past few days vanished. He was now mr shark , the terrible assassin and not the loving uday she had known. Uday instantly became defensive

U: manyata (cleary shocked) how could you accuse me of something I don't know. Officer believe me I am innocent😲

J: but iam sorry uday, manyata has evidence. I have no other option than arrest you. Cooperate with us

U: ok officer I will cooperate, because I know I am innocent let her prove it other way. Let her produce the evidence, if she has any

Jaggat handcuffed him

As he was led away in hand cuffs manyata looked at him

He was smilling rather smirking at her. there was a glint of" danger, you messed up with the wrong person" in his eyes

As he reached manyata he spoke to her softly

U: manyata prove your allegations first, I am sure you will not get even a small bit of evidence against me, Because I never leave any loopholes. And I still love you manyata and I will not stop till you will be my wife, manyata kumari . the ring in your hand is the sign that you will be mine and mine alone

Manyata got scared seeing his carefree attitude, he was too cool for a convict arrested

Something was wrong. But she still had solid evidence, and uday would never get time to remove all evidence he had stored in his home but Had she made a big MISTAKE unmasking him????

J: come lets go, uday

He smirked at her as he left that room. Evidences will now be a huge problem, thought uday

Manyata was emotionally drained as she rested in her room , she had betrayed her soul in order to listen to her brain. Yes, she still loved uday, but she had to do what she did today, after all she was taught to preserve rajadharma . evil had to be punished. She tried to sleep, but every time she closed her eyes uday's face came in front of her, he was smiling and calling her 'princess' lovingly. 😳Love was clearly visible in his eyes and that face pained her. Where was he now, she thought

"I am really sorry uday, but…😭😭."

Uday was sitting in his jail cell staring into the darkness. Stars were visible outside through the tiny window in his cell, the cell smelled of stale food and urine. He was given a torn sheet to sleep on.he was given a dry roti to eat and it was as hard as a rock. Tomorrow he would be produced in front of the court and the court would decide how long he would remain in jail, when the police collected evidence against him. his lawyer had contacted him asking him what to do, he asked to remain still till he told him what to do. The media was celebrating this news. The famous business tycoon was a killer and a rajkumari who died came alive to give evidence against him. but you can't say what the news would be tomorrow

Manyata. His love of his life had betrayed him; her talks were too sweet to understand the wickedness beneath it. He had fallen too well in her trap. Does she deserve his forgiveness?😕 No.😡 she would have to pay for it and he knew what to do about it, he smirked thinking about it

Uday dragged manyta into the police jeep.he drove like a mad man. Police started to follow him. but he quickly left them of trail

He dragged her to the top of the hill and manyta was screaming on top of her lungs for help but in vain

"manyta I don't forget nor forgive, you betrayed me, so you deserve to die, he said as he tightened the shawl around her neck, her eyes were wide open and she was choking

"Leave her "said jaggat. Uday tightened the grip, manyta's eyes bulged out and she stumbled dead

And jaggat and other police officers shot uday till his body was riddled by bullets

He slumped down falling on top of manyta's body, finally manveer was one in death
