Jab We met
Kumud thinks to herself, "Could there ever be a guy I am imagining in my dreams? How can a dream be a reality?" But her parents were insistent that she met Saras who had been their future son in law for ages now''
Saras was a happy go lucky guy - very practical ' and clever too. He was also not interested in a marriage of this sort which had been planned even before the boy and girl in concern were aware of what it meant. But he did not want to hurt his parents and decided to go ahead meet this girl - Kumud and tell her that he did not want all this sort of an arranged wedding ' that too arranged ages back!
The day comes when these two had to meet.
Kumud was the dreamy one ' romantic to the core and hoping against hope that in would walk the same dream man of whom she had known every single thing!
Saras was the simple, next door guy, cool and relaxed as he walked in to meet her and explained to her his idea on marriage.
What a shock Kumud gets to see that he was nowhere near her expectation and he smiles at her. She forcefully smiles back as at least he was honest courteous.
He begins the talk by saying ' "This is not going to work and I am sorry to say I am in no mood of marrying a girl I don't even know"
Kumud interrupts ' "Hello ' I have different views here and I will only marry the guy of my dreams and I am sorry that you don't come anywhere close to him."
Saras says - "Sounds cool but how do we go about telling everyone about our decision?"
Kumud suggests ' "We can tell them to give us some time with each other first."
"Maybe after a week or so and we can then come out with our displeasure in this relationship. They will surely understand as we gave it a try after all."
A day turned into two and two into three ' Saras and Kumud were inseparable and enjoyed chatting, sharing views on everything and got so comfortable that by the time it was the sixth day - Kumud for the first time dreamt of Saras in her dreams'.
She wondered how could her dream change? No ' she had to be clear about what she wanted.
Here, Saras too had got so used to her smart and jovial ways that he started liking her.
It was the seventh day!
Both had come to meet each other but there was a strange silence '.a coy smile from Kumud instead of the bubbly laughter and Saras too was looking at her from a different perspective. They came closer and both blurted out together ' "I want to say something"
They start laughing and Saras says ' "You go ahead."
Kumud begins ' " Actually, I know you may not believe me but now I have started getting different dreams of late'dreams that have you in them'" saying this she feels shy.
Saras holds her hands and answers ' "And I have started having dreams for the first time'..of you my dear! So this meeting has worked perfectly for us. Shall I go and share this news with all?"
Kumud smiles as if to "yes" and here begins the beautiful journey of Saras with Kumud!
