CRICKET IN SAREES?

Okie, I have question...From the spolier pictures, it seems like the females of the Scindia's family will be watching/participating in the cricket match in their sarees...I am just wondering if this is like the norm in India for those families that are very traditional (?) where even when you are playing sports, you need to wear sarees...

It's not first time, in films they did it with sarees and saw it in many other serials before Punar Vivah...

@ Miti - thanks for the explanation!! I know that they are just supporting their family but I kinda still thought maybe they would be more casual...dress down a little bit which is why I am curious to know if those traditional family would still be all dressed in sarees...But now I get it...
