For starters, I consider myself lucky to have skipped the episode where Akash's psycho family murders an old man and a woman. After reading it in the WU, I was shell-shocked. Seeing the creepy Ekadish on television was bad enough, but now it seems we're about to see Uttaran scale new heights of sadism in the history of Hindi Television. These people aren't ordinary criminals, they're dangerous psychopaths to be exact.🤢

Akash's mum seems mentally deranged. Who on earth makes a young boy take a revenge oath? [O.o]

The Delhi rape furor and the response of women all over India was not enough to awaken the conscience of people. Now a seven year old student is a victim. Political scams, financial scams, criminals galore going around, parading their wealth. The News Television Channels, enjoy the publicity with these events, and go on screaming over and over again, yet it makes no difference. It repeasts. Television should be a medium to help change for the better, but in the name of entertainement, they grossly exaggerate the ugly side of humanity, and ignore all the genuine goodness that exists in people. They seem to think they will get TRP by beaming these serials on the good people of India, and then wonder why their serials have gone flop. Wrong people are at the helm of decision making, and it is a pity, these two channels, Colors and Star Plus, should be leaders in this trend. Hope good sense dawns on them.
