Desire is "following ur heart"... which may include good as well as bad things/destinations...
Love is "putting other's desire above ur own desire"...
The human since birth is a self centered person, where his needs/desires come first then others' needs/desires...However real love is that much pwerful to ba able to change this origin trait from our nature... hence true love can make us fulfill the other's desire on the cost of ours...
Let's discuss ur example to make the picture more clear...
If Swayam wants to see sharon happy and wants to stay with her, aren't they his desires rather love for someone ?? But when sometimes she wants to be alone, he just satisfy her wish despite his own desire is to be with her... here he is fulfilling her desire on the cost of his, and this is love...we have seen several such examples in SS story, that's y we feel SS story is about true love... this is true love start to lose the "self centered" trait and become more conscious of other's needs/issues...
If mother Teresa want to help ppl isn't it her wish to help someone.. I mean to say her happiness was in helping others... is this love ?? then isn't it her desire to stay happy ?? What she used to do didn't comly with the human nature (satisfy her needs before others') coz instead of having a beautiful marriage life and care only about her own children, which is way less headache than being in her real position, she dedicated her time to fulfill others' desires on the cost of her original and natural desires...this is true love coz she picked the hard road and forgo the easy one...
Every parent want to see his child happy, Success & Famous, then isn't it their desire to see his/her blood is doing good in the world ?? Parents helps u to get the best on the world, but y don't they instead focus on enjoying their own life?... they will work hard and save money to build ur future... this future that most probably won't include them coz they will be no more... they have could, instead, enjoy the time they live and after their death it won't really matter if u have a good life or not... but most of parents work so hard to fulfill their kids' desires on the cost of their own... this is true love when u put others happiness ahead of yours...
So, in short...
Can v say Love is nothing but... fulfill other's desire on the cost of fulfilling our own dreams ??... This is my adjustment to the previous sentence...
