It was a known fact that not many people loved hospitals.They associated hospitals with the sick and dying.But that was not so in his case.For him hospital was a sanctorium where he could seek solace.He was a healer.People expected him to save lives and create miracles.But at the same time he was a human who made mistakes,some of which would continue to haunt him.
"Dr.Shiv how long would you take to finish surgery?Dr.Rao needs the OT for cholecystectomy"said the resident.
"I am almost done with thyroidectomy.Just suturing is left.It will take me exact three minutes"said the surgeon.
Hearing this,the resident left the operation theatre.Shiv sighed.He was exhausted after performing four back to back surgeries.He wanted to go home and catch up on his sleep.Maybe that was a bad idea,the nightmares would continue to haunt him.
