Hey! :)
I really don't know what fantasy name would suit me best cuz I can never relate to any fantasy character no matter how much I want to.. Ad to create one, I totally suck at it! :/ You can do me a favour by giving me a few options if you don't mind.. ;)
Yes, to begin with, I'd say you're really as talented as a writer should be.. The story had not crossed my eye until 3 days ago and only because I had typed, "Arhi ff" and google gave me a list of options that I couldn't choose to ignore the intriguing title of your FF, had I chose to read.. No, I had not taken the FF to be something that wud be similar to Beauty and the Beast but I knew the title had to have more to it when google had shown me the 5th thread which meant the story was already doing good, without me as a reader! Now that is what had upset me! 🤔
I don't think I'm as good a reader if it has anything to do with 'Comments'! I hardly ever comment and you can make that out by just looking at my dabba! It has only 10 posts so far.. I've read plenty of FFs and yet not commented on any.. Cuz most of the time I'm not logged into IF and the rest of the times, m lazy enough to sit and applaud the writers, even when I know they deserve to be appreciated and commented.. Pardon me for that! I'm still trying to comment on my favourites though, so yeah, maybe I can hope to find myself being recognised as a reader to my fave writers at least! 😛
Yes, I did not have to be a chatter box but don't take me wrong.. I really appreciate your efforts to thank each of your readers and mentioning them and also for accepting the silent readers, the way they are.. It makes them feel even more special that the writer is so concerned in making efforts to appreciate the readers.. I really like this quality of yours.. Yes, there are many writers on IF who love their readers and give a special mention to them, but I've seen only the regular commentors receive that special mention and it is only fair for them to do so too.. You're a bit different though.. So yeah, all this is not meant to flatter you but to explain some of the many reasons that persuaded me to comment in th first place!😉
Yes, the gothic style of your writing has more to do with people of my interests.. I'd like to say I love reading anything that has some meaning to it.. It can be a suspense, a thriller, can b dramatic, purely realistic, fantastic, comedy, classic, but not tragedy.. I take it very bad when I know something is not gonna have a proper end and when that something is also tragedy, I never prefer to giv't a reading at all! Tragedies are bad, man! Though they bring you to closer to reality.they're still bad..
Well, I was sure that your FF had our Beauty Queen Khushi and the Beastly ASR! But I also knew that what is to unfold is gonna be a huge treat.. And guess what, I was right! :) I finished reading your fantastical tale in just two days.. Yes, cuz I'm busy enough to give sometime to reading everything at a go.. And woah! Did u just say your family's ignorance has helped in you writing the FF? OMG! I can never think of braving an act of hiding such great talent from anybody.. I'd go around boasting about it rather and maybe that is y I have no talent as such, but who cares, eh? I will not lead myself into self-pity cuz I know I'm a wonderful reader and am happy at that!
I've to admit, the beginning of the tale left me in wonderment! Well, all of what I've read so far, but still.. I never thought you'd actually created Arhasia, cuz I thought its something like Arhi fan-world and couldn't even get what you'd written in the caption under the picture relating to Arhasia..
When I read about some Greeks and all, I thought : Ok, so this lady here is personifying ASR to be a Greek god and maybe Khushi being the Beauty Queen, they're together called 'Arhasia', I went red in embarrassment for having thought such a silly thing, even when no one was around to look at me, cuz I was right away proven wrong in the chapters that followed.. 😳 But I told u this cuz I wanted u to know what impact your story had on me from the very beginning..
The Lady in the Dark Hood, the cottage, the innkeeper, you as the narrator.. all was as if.. you're really someone from the fantasy world and you really are being told something by the Lady in the Hood and so you're supposed to follow whatever is told to you.. Yes, according to my sensibility and my age, I'd already guessed it was your style of narration and writing, yet, I couldn't help but feel so 'involved' in the magic you've created.. A Big Kudos to you for that!👍🏼 You've brought the very essence of IPK into this FF which makes it stand out in all the FFs that I've read so far.. I love all of those FFs for their own special reasons.. Your's is something totally what we chanced upon IPK, yet with a different taste and style to it, your touch to it, precisely! :)
You didn't miss anything in this great piece of yours..From their very first meet, with Khushi landing straight into ASR's arms to him ripping her sleeve, to Khushi being ridiculed, then the village girls migrating, her returning him the key, their second meeting with an accident to Khushi finding a job at ASR's very Industry! His challenges and her determination to face all those with a brave front! The first time when he's attracted to her in the Red Robe! The Most Awaited, Admired, Remembered and The Very First Rabba Vey! :)
Her addiction to sweets and to ease out her tensed state of mind by preparing her favourite sweet (here, chocolate liquor)! :)
Him pushing her through a height to them getting drenched in the rain and him saving her as a result of which she ends up quitting her job! Nani and Anjali's fondness towards her, her being appointed La's handmaid, his and La's refusal for the same, her belief in marriage and his loath towards the same.. La befriending her and La's change of mind,, ASR's outburst and her spending the night in the deadly Dungeon, with him restless and her helpless in that dead of the night and then finally giving into his need to see her safe that led him going to get her back and later tending to her, giving her his warmth (I'm damn sure he wouldn't have done this if it were Lavanya! And to think, he said he hates her but don't we know the obvious already! :P), treating her hand-cut..
Then the necklace thing, haaye!
And then, I hate to write this but I have to, what we had in the show as 'Snakewa' turns out to be a 'Beastwa' here! How I wish he didn't exist! :P
Akash and Payal's mutual fondness towards each other, the ball dance.. Ah yes, the Ball Dance! It was purely Arhi magic there, girl! This was such, such a treat to read.. I was replaying 'Teri Meri' in my mind while visualising Arhi dance to its tunes, all the time while reading it.. I loved how Arnav was eager to know who the better dancer was by asking his Dee.. I so loved Anjali when she declared Khushi beating him in the dance.. And then, undone by a smile.. When I read it at first, I was laughing so hard, then I read it at least 5 times more before reading further, as if to memorise it! :P He was happy at her smiling at him.. And then, looking at his half smile, she couldn't feel victorious anymore! Waah Waah! So wonderfully written, really! :)
Then comes the much awaited 'Necklace Scene'.. I was so lost reading it and I felt so good that you'd chosen necklace and not a payal for then we wouldn't have had such a wonderful Arhi scene! The show couldn't do so and I wonder why! It had its magic created but they could have at least made him kiss her on the cheek rather than spoiling the moment and shattering a million hearts into pieces by that stupid, idiotic phone! Thankfully enough, it wasn't "Chalo Maiya Ke Bhawan Bhawan Bhawan! 😒
I love how Buaji is the strength of their family and how skilful she is! How she plays an important role in supporting her family through hard times, Babuji is the much concerned father we had in IPK, Payal is just as admirable(maybe a bit more than in the show!).. Ram is just another adding to the reading treat, I wish he could speak though.. I'm glad Mamaji has the guts to speak here and how the father-son duo play fair with Manorama and her tantrums!! ::P
Akash's concern over Payal's bleeding foot which got her the World Famous title, 'Khoon Bhari Taang' was well brought out here too.. :)
The only thing I don't understand is why Garima cannot display her affection towards Khushi.. Please explain.. :)
Akash is ready to announce his love already?! Boy, he's brave, just like our Lordy! Payal's concern and her issues over the family reactions is totally appreciable and quite understandable here..
Aman and Lavanya, eh!? Good though, that they both have found soulmates in each other already and I've gotta say this : "Way to go, Master Aman!" :)
Waiting for more Rabba Ves with much eagerness, needed attention and ample of patience for the tale to unfold.. :)
My Sincere gratitude and Appreciation to The Lady In The Dark Hood, if not for her, we would not have had you narrating such a wonderful tale to us Arhi fanatics! ;)
P.S. : I just noticed I've filled the entire comment with a dozen 'Yes'! :P
xx
