It's too late for ARVI

As much as I used to like the Arjun-Purvi jodi...it's too late for it.
Arjun and Ovi are married.
Purvi and Onir are married.

Ovi is trying her best to change as a person and do what is best for her family.
Onir is a sweetheart who has accepted Purvi despite knowing her past. He's been too nice and dependable for Purvi to just leave him.

How awkward would it be for Purvi to leave her loving husband and marry her sister's husband?

If Ovi was still evil and Onir was a horrible person, the situation would be different.

Now, I think Arjun needs to work on improving his relationship with Ovi just as Purvi should work on hers with Onir.

Otherwise, at this point it is not fair to Ovi or Onir to break 2 marriages for the sake of one.

If they didn't want Arjun/Ovi married, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Or these pregnancies shouldn't have happened. Now it's beyond that point to where it's just morally wrong. The purity of the former Arjun/Purvi relationship is gone. Purvi doesn't even seem to care for Arjun as much anymore anyway.

All this being said, I do think the CVs will find a way to get ARVI together (kill off Onir due to the hospital scandal and make Ovi evil again once she finds out about the baby) but it's not the same anymore. Too much has happened for it to be the same.

This is exactly what I have been saying forever! I used to love Arjun-Purvi but it is only foolish to think they would get back together after all that has happened. Situations would be very different if Purvi had not married or Arjun did not have a child with Ovi or Onir-Ovi were evil.

Ovi is working on herself and relationship. Onir is probably the best guy Purvi could have asked for. And Purvi seems to get closer to Onir after the baby track. Arjun-Ovi have a child and parenthood to share.

How on earth, is it digestable if the jeeja-saali pair get together now? It is immoral and more than Arjun's, it goes against the sanskaars that Purvi keeps touting. He may still consider it, but she never will.

Dear Pari,

I am feeling mischievous and so I will risk rotten tomatoes from those still rooting for an Arjun-Purvi reunion, and add my bit to your post😉. It is a carryover from another thread, but never mind. Do remember that it is about the Tuesday episode. Today, Arjun was marginally better in the scenes with his kid, but only marginally, so my conclusion still holds.

To my mind, by now so much water has flowed under the bridge that the Arjun-Purvi romance is about as fresh as last week's buns. It cannot be revived with oxygen or CPR. The Arjun-Ovi relationship is as fresh as last month's buns. Watching Arjun look at his baby girl, thank Ovi for giving him a daughter, and proclaim that he is now a father, was dismaying for any admirer of Rithvik the actor. He did not look like a sleepwalker, he looked spaced out. He is committing slow suicide, and it is very sad viewing, when one remembers, as I did only a couple of days ago, what he is capable of at his best.

He should be rescued forthwith, perhaps by having him too shot by Soham and stuck in a room next to Archana's😉, but not for just 2 months. As expiation for having reduced him to this level, Ekta should give him a proper role in a new production. But not Jodhaa Akbar. Hrithik's splendid take on Akbar in the movie will make anything anyone else can do pale by comparison. Rithvik needs a strong, author-backed, main lead role.Nothing less.

The PR track is getting worse by the day, and with the Soham-Balan scene and the highly artificial shooting scene, it seems to have hit rock bottom. That is, for now, for just when you think this cannot get any worse, the CVs are experts at proving you wrong!

Shayamala Aunty,

I absolutely agree. He was marginally better as you said, but not convincing at all. I wrote this in KC's thread the other day about how the ecstatic feeling that is felt by a father, ( with no relation to who the mother is) was sorely missing in him. I don't know if it is Rithvik who is not convinced about his current track and it shows through or it is Arjun who is still pining after Purvi. Either way, he is failing as a father. A first time father and the emotion he feels at seeing his own baby, is one of the most touching feelings ever, but Arjun seems too spaced out to feel it. Today's scene, I saw a glimmer of a smile at seeing Ovi put the baby to sleep, but it was so controlled that I was wondering if he was remembering Purvi singing the lori or it was genuinely seeing his wife and daughter.

Whatever the case is, I want him to opt out of this show. He is a good actor and would love to see him in a show that explores his potential as an actor but also is convincing enough for us to watch. He is clearly not enjoying playing a young father as much as he enjoyed the young dashing businessman from Canada. And yes, Jodhaa-Akbar after Hrithik and Aishwarya would be a lame attempt for anyone to re-create, let alone Ekta. So I don't want RD in that show for sure. I don't know in what way is EKTA going to re-write a rich historical story, and I can only imagine the severe butchering of facts.

The overall track in PR is going downhill, awaiting it's crash. Soham-Balan is the lamest track to adjust to an actress's schedule. She had put her papers down long before and the CV's had enough time to give her an appropriate exit, instead this last minute story has taken the turn for worse. I am not even watching the episodes these days. Watch some scenes that I think are positive and FF the rest or simply read the WU.

I am sticking around only for KC and the daily dose of chatting with the friends I have here. I will try out Saraswatichandra, as you suggested on KC, but I don't keep high hopes from Indian soaps as Varsha Di said. I try new shows, but eventually end up quitting not more than 3 weeks into it. They all come back to the same old ploy. But, I do think, like you mentioned, that this might have a different treatment to it and might have limited episodes too. I do like the actor playing the lead,, he is an able and fine actor who I remember seeing in an old show earlier.

But, all in all, it is dismaying for all of us who like RD the actor and Arjun the character and he should either opt out of the show or make it more tolerable for us to watch. He is putting half-hearted efforts right now or the director is not playing him to his potential.
