There is a saying that time heals everything but nope, time does not heal but with the passage of time, scars of past become insignificant and no longer fester. The more one wants to run away from the memories, the more grip they have on us. I want to move on is good on paper but it takes lots of strength to wake-up every morning and actually step out and begin a new life.
Madhubala loved the man without holding herself back. She completely submitted to him and never for a moment doubted his words. It does not matter if he loves her, or his ego is bigger than his love, or he is just one messed-up person, or he is a man of multiple personalities. At the moment, his action and the victim's fight to move on are the only two things that matter. He may do ten thousand good things but then what he did at the mandap can never be undone.
It is a very easy option to block all the roads that lead to that man and also close all the doors and windows. But, all the blocked roads, closed doors and windows will stare back and remind Madubala of what happened. There is no peace if she is not confronting her demons straight on. She goes back to the set every day to win over her inner turmoil and make the biggest scar of her life insignificant. It's much easier to do so in the presence of the man than in some other place as one ends up wondering more if there is an absent mark. He is also becoming insignificant in her life because the new memories of his are overwriting the beautiful ones.
P.S: What she said to Trishana does not matter as I don't trust the creative team, anymore because they will conveniently forget all that to show a new twist. I just hope Madhubala in her drunken state does not blurt out something different. And, I just abhor the idea of R.K spiking her drink.
