Apart from Raizia-Haseena gibberish, the whole episode was brilliant today. But one small moment, I can't even call it a scene, drew my attention for probably what seems more than necessary.
When Shireen calls up Dilshad, the latter recognises her and apart from that, the two don't say a word to each other. They only cry on the phone, their feelings mirroring each other; both in pain for the man they love. I know that according to many Rashid doesn't deserve the love of either one let alone both of them but fact of the matter is that our judgment of Rashid does not change what he means to these two women.
Dilshad has been betrayed technically not once but twice by Rashid yet she cannot suppress the emptiness she feels in her life. I've seen people not taking kindly to her submissiveness towards Rashid, which is fair enough, but even that strongest of people have their weaknesses and Rashid is hers. She is blessed with two wonderful children and another daughter-like figure who love her to no end yet she feels like there is something missing in her life. Her soulmate is not with her and she cannot feel complete without the man who completes her. Yes, it defies logic, sense and sensibilites and maybe no self-respecting woman should forgive her husband in this situation. I myself wouldn't advocate it but Dilshad has it in her to trust that her husband might have sinned, but he is not a bad person.
I don't know about anyone else but off-late, I've really took a liking to Shireen as well. She's OTT, annoying and dumb but she has a virginal heart which holds unconditional love. She knows that Rashid still loves Dilshad yet she accepts him as her husband (makes me kinda wonder why she left him the first time but that is not the point here). She saw him accuse Maamujaan and Mumaani and I had really expected her to go against him after that but she didn't. What more, she is the one who pushed him to go and see Dilshad when she was shot, seeing how restless and miserable he was getting. I am not saying she doesn't have flaws. After all, if she weren't selfish, she would've let Rashid go to Dilshad from her side 'coz she doesn't know what is really holding Rashid to her. But can we negate her obvious respect she holds for Rashid's feelings towards his other family?
Whether he deserves it or not, Dilshad and Shireen are both making a lot of sacrifices for him. Dilshad loves him despite his betrayal and Shireen wants to be with him inspite of knowing he loves someone else. And today when he is in this crisis, their hearts bleed for him. They want him back; safe, sound and acquitted of all charges because despite everything, they trust him to not be a murderer. Rashid is the common thread which binds them and for his sake, these two might just come together to save him. 'Coz if anyone understands at this point what they're going through, it's each other.
