Sasural Simar Ka: Celebrating the 500 mark

The cast of Colors' Sasural Simar Ka is jubilant over the completion of 500 episodes.

The two leads of the show - Deepika Samson aka Simar and Avika Gor, who plays Roli - attribute the show's success to their senior co-actor Jayati Bhatia and each other. Jayati plays grandmother-in-law to Simar and Roli.

Says Deepika, "I have learnt the art of performing with more emotions from Jayatiji. Coming from theatre, she is a method actor and strives to perfect every scene. On the other hand, Avika has helped make our roles - of sisters - more convincing by being one off screen as well. We are inseparable and help each other perform well."
Avika echoes the sentiment. "I have immense respect and love for Jayatiji and Deepika. They always check on me since I am the youngest guide me to better myself. With them, I have grown as an actor and for me, this is a family away from family."
Terming Jayati as a positive person, both Deepika and Avika feel that the senior actor is the anchor of the show.
