I can only lament for Arjun nothing else, no onir purvi can replace PR for me, Arjun is the reason for me to see PR. The amount of butchering of Arjun is still puzzling! Onir's role cane be played by anyone and any actor would look good with Onir's role. Wish Cvs could use Rithvik's talent or better Rithvik get a better project , I wish he could work with Sanjay Leela Bhanjali's new project as a lead role as Saraswatichandra.Hope to see him in new project where his talent would be appreciated, explore,used to the max and more..

I did this only for you, for I felt , after reading the last line about nirvana, that you were feeling blue and needed to be cheered up a bit. I am glad these old posts made you feel good at least for a while.

I have a request to make. Please post these comments in the standalone thread Down nostalgia lane with Arjun Kirloskar that I started, after I had posted this, for I felt that it would be lost here and many others, both those like us and the younger lot, might enjoy them.

They would add a lot of value to that thread. Your @blue, for example.I remember the running battle we had once on a thread of Laurie's on this very point! It is again there in the last para of my second post here, about the mandir scene, which you have used at the end here.Alas, she was not to be his strength, but a crippling weakness that has all but done him in. But then he was never the first or even the 11th - remember the goofy list you produced once? - in her list of priorities. I think she is going to destroy Onir as well now, the woman in a regular demolition machine.

So will you do it at once, please?

Ahh. U took me back in time to those glorious days of Arjun. I did read those writeups back then and loved them. All ur writeups where so heartfelt then, but there are a few that I really love, one was the chawl meal scene (remember the purple dress), Archana's challenge and her beige nails (courtesy of bee:) ), the bridge proposal rain night (chalaa jaaonga main) and many more... Werent we right when we insistently argued with the APP, esp Jhanvi, about Purvi's commitment to Arjun. We had maintained that she was the one who was loved whereas it was Arjun who always loved. Unknown to us, how right we were !!! We had always hoped that she wld stand by him and were never completely sure. How right we were in that too..
There were many instances when some of Arjun's scenes were so heartfelt and natural that Rithvik and Arjun became one to us. For me, he was always a better actor between the two, although Asha had her finer moments too. I guess I can go on like this for a while, but I know you understand what I mean. It is such a tragedy the way the story went downhill after that drasted wedding. Whoever came up with these idiotic tracks of ovi wedding, these pregnancies, baby swappin needs to have their head examined. It is amazing that people who could write the arvi story so beautifully back then, could also write such drivel now. What is their definition of Pavitra Rishta now, I wonder !
I doubt if it is remotely possible for Arjun to have such good intense scenes again, for Rithvik would surpass himslef given a chance, but in this current crap that is shown, there is no place for anything except the nonsense melodrama of the ladies..
Anyway, let me quit before I get more maudlin...:).

Never were truer words said of Arjun's love for Purvi..It maybe termed as foolish, weakness right now by some, but that is how Arjun is.. All or None..

To be loved like this - so deeply and passionately, and yet with such unselfishness and demanding absolutely nothing in return - is something that very, very few mortals get, and it is something for which one should thank God on one's knees. Whatever happens to them in the future, whatever the heartache and loss they have to go through, the realisation of this love will stay with her and warm her heart. And I hope the realisation that she has been granted something very rare and precious will make her trust him implicitly and not make life more difficult for him when the storms that lie ahead start blowing in gale force. She should stand by him, and be his strength, not his weakness.

i agree with you completely. and onir really deserves it. the character that he is, is just too nice. he's really a perfect life partner for any girl, but the fact that he loves purvi makes me want him to be with her because he deserves it :D <3
