Sriti casted as gauri

Some people on this forum are nuts about sritis casting skill so I believe she shouldbe able to do a grey role well. So why didn't the writers of bv cast her as gauri. Gauri jagya joint redemption track would have been way more interesting. Is it be ause they feel viewers can sympathize with only innocent, inept tortured women? With this thought and the fact how easily they are supplying jagya with new love it makes me think that the fact that this shows writer is a man is affecting the storyline of this show.
