Cinematic liberty- BV style

TV serials (and even films) generally don't show functioning of Government officers/offices correctly. Balika Vadhu is no exception. One can understand that they want to show their leads larger than life that's why police fail to trace a kidnapped Anandi but Jagya found her and rescued her without any help. Shiv drove police velhicle even though he was not required to do so.Creatives can take some cinematic liberty but they should not twist facts too much. Some recent examples are:

1. Village panchayat continue to function in Jaitsar even though it was made a district, the Collector was even shown attending panchayat meeting.
2. Chief Minister introduced the district collector like some commentator announcing arrival of Sachin Tendulkar.
3. Railway ghotala was not even a scam. Sending inflated proposal will only lead to rejection of proposal.
4. The Collector (Shiv) was arrested suddenly and that too by CBI. In such cases a departmental inquiry is sufficient and a show cause notice is always issued.
5. When Jagdish accepted that he had changed the estimates, CBI/police immediately released Shiv and arrested Jagdigh without even examining the truth
The list goes on. I like BV because it has better storyline, I don't watch any other serial. But it is too preachy (with voice over). I just wish that they show better tracks than the current IVF and intimacy problem drama.

add one more...Shiv is a IAS officer which comes under Central Government...if we read the duties of this post then we will see that they are appointed by the President and their suspension and removal from the post can only be done the President...State Government and specially Chief Minister has no right to interfere in such matters...i seriously think CV needs to concentrate on such trival faults as it is showing wrong procedure of our Government and is also sending wrong knowledge...till now regarding law the only correct thing i noticed in BV was that after living for 5 or 7 years together even Bal Vivah becomes a legal marriage ( THAT WAS INDEED SOMETHING I NEVER KNEW)

Again Shiv left to Jaipur because 'CM sahab ka phone aaya tha' (sorry I copied this from update, due to hearing problem, I did not hear the actual dialogue). The lead of BV will go out only for badi haveli's work or when he gets direct phone from CM. Do the CVs want to show that their lead is special IAS who works directly under CM? They could have sent the Collector saheb for some urgent meeting etc. Why this disregard for official protocol?

As far as I know, District Collectors report to Divisional Commissioner. A Division under the Divissional Commissioner has a number of districts.

I agree with you here. As much as I love it when they show Shiv and Anandi's amazing work ethic, I can't enjoy things fully when there is so much unreality in these matters. Sometimes it gets unnecessary, and it throws a wrench in the pleasure I get from this show. I think they should do more research, or just hire some people to do it for them.

Yes, it is true, in a work of fiction, they have to add masala, drama.. But it should be like masala in subji and not the other way round...
I posted this just to know whether I am the only one who want to see something close to reality and not just fantasy. BV has a good story, still they think they have to add so much masala?
