Guys, what I mean to ask is, did RK and Madhu sign anything legal to become ex-spouses? Please tell me if I missed that...

I remember when the 4 phere-wala shadi happened I made a post asking if the marriage was legal and a lot of people got very annoyed with me and said he married on camera so it must be legal (in fact, Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguly had to get their marriage registered precisely because they married on tv and the govt. didn't consider it real/legal) but anyway, since for the purpose of this serial, if we considered the Rishabala marriage a proper marriage, and he accepted she was his wife and she accepted he was her husband and even their families accepted it, so the marriage happened, right?
If the marriage happened, then to become ex-es they must get a proper divorce, this much to I'm sure off. For a marriage to end you need a proper divorce, and that involves the court, and lawyers. Even for a mutual divorce you need a period of separation before you can get a divorce. You just can't end it like that, right?

So that means Madhu is not RK'sex-biwi, yet.😉

Their marriage was not legal in the first place, so no need of legal divorce. It was always said that it was aadhi-adhuri shaadi.

Even I always had doubts on the legality of their wedding! Since Hindu rituals were not completed, I guess the contract is the only legal paper binding them! The contract though no one mentions it, is still in place I guess so they are still married! What a pickle! The uniqueness of their aadhi adhoori shaadi is this alone, neither is it complete neither can it be broken!

As per Indian laws such contracts are not valid...though its often shown inmany movies and serials but they are void no matter what religion one follows.
