Chapter 25
"Sameer, been a very very long time. Hope you are not still angry at me sweetie," a very lovely lady said with pouting lips.
"Simran?" he said angrily.
Simran walked in her cat-walk steps towards him and raised her hand to caress his cheek. But before she could touch him, he slapped her hand away.
"Yeh kya bakwas hein?" Rathore said looking in a disgusted way at her.
"oh come on Rathore, kitna waqt beat gaya humein bichre hoowe! I had thought that you'd get over that break-up, but nope!" Simran said.
"And i had thought that with time, you'll understand the meaning of ashamed, and have the decency of never showing me your face," Rathore barked at her and turned to go away. But Simran quickly grabbed his arms and said, "What are you talking about?" and she even looked perplexed looking at him.
"I said leave me Simran! Dont force me to forget that you are a woman!" Rathore said angrily.
"Par Sam, yeh kya keh rahe ho? We met one year ago, where you and me again became good friends and more. I didnt know you'd be so angry that i had to leave for my modelling assignment for three months, that now you are refusing to acknowledge me!" she said with tears in her eyes.
Rathore looked at her in a confused way, not believing any words Simran was uttering. He had once trusted her, and she had played him for a fool. But this time he wasn't going to do the same mistake.
"Please spare me with your drama," Rathore said angrily.
"But it's not a drama! Do you really not remember the time we both spent last year at goa?" she said with tears in her eyes.
She took out her mobile and showed him some pictures of them which were taken last year. Rathore was completely shocked at seeing those pictures, he knew that he didnt remember the last few years in his life, but he couldn't digest what Simran was saying. "Aisa kaise ho sakta hein! Mein aur ouske saath! Kabhi nahin!" he thought and soon his head started aching a lot. The more he tried to remember, the more his head was bursting. He started to feel dizzy and then fainted right there in the parking.
Simran wiped her tears and immediately bent down to Rathore's body. Just at that time, she heard a car pulling in the parking. And before she could do anything, a man and a girl was running towards them, and the man quickly bent down to pick Rathore up in his arms and started to carry him to his SUV.
The woman was looking strangely at Simran and asked her, "What happened? Why did he faint?"
Simran was a bit worried, because she knew that she had been the reason why Rathore fainted, but she easily hid her fears and replied, "I dont know, i was just walking by when i saw him fainting in front of me. Just as i was rushing to him to offer any help, you people came by!"
"Ok thanks for the help, by the way I'm Riya," Riya said and immediately left Simran to rush in the SUV where Arjun was waiting for her, to take Rathore to the hospital.
After one hour, the doctor had examined Rathore and had given him some painkillers due to which Rathore was still sleeping. The doctor came out of the room.
"Doctor what happened?" Arjun asked in a worried voice.
"Mr Rawte, i dont know. Did anyone of you force him to do anything? Did he remember anything till now?" the doctor asked.
"Nope, we didnt do anything. In fact everyone have been very cautious in not forcing Rathore at all," Arjun replied.
"Did he have any stress recently? Any shocks? Any problems?" the doctor persisted.
"None that we know of. Except my fiancee's sister which has been missing since yesterday night. And Rathore was working on that case," Arjun answered.
"Hmmm," the doctor thought for some time, "well we'd only know when he regains consciousness now! But please try not to force him to remember anything! It may prove fatal for him. Hopefully this time it was not that serious. He'd be awake in a few hours, and i'll give you some medicines to give him after diner," the doctor said and went away.
Both went inside to check Rathore.
"Everything will be ok, dont worry," Riya said, and gave Arjun a big hug.
Arjun hugged her back, all the while looking at Rathore's sleeping form.
"But what happened? How could he just faint? Do you think he's remembering Shaina?" Arjun was asking, trying desperately to find some answers.
"Shhssshh, dont be too stressed. Let's wait for him to get up," Riya said in a calming voice.
Amidst all these things, they had completely forgotten that Shaina was missing, when suddenly Arjun's phone started to ring.
Arjun answered the call, and his face completely changed when hearing the other person talk. He cut the call and told Riya, "It was Shree, they have checked numerous times all the CCTVs of that shopping mall. They said that Shaina did go in, but she never came out from that shopping mall. And her mobile is also unreachable. Her last location was in that shopping mall also. And her bank cards haven't been used at all since yesterday!"
"But where could she go? Leaving all her belongings and not even saying anything to us!" Riya said concerned for Shaina.
"Hmmm, you stay here with Rathore till he gets up. And please dont tell anyone at home about this. They'll only be worried. And yep dont let anyone meet Rathore! When he's awake, give me a call, i'll come to pick you two up. Till then, i'm going to office to check further information about Shaina. Kuch to chut raha hein!" Arjun said and turned to leave the room.
He had just opened the door, when he remembered something. He came back towards Riya with a strange look.
"what?" Riya asked.
He bent down and gave her a light kiss on her lips, smiled and went away saying, "how can my day pass well without my good morning kiss? Even if it's way past morning!"
Riya just blushed at Arjun's actions and words. She later turned to watch Rathore, and went to take a seat on a chair in the room, waiting for Rathore to wake up.
Riya didnt know that a lady had been spying on her through the opened door.
"Shit? What is this girl still doing here?" the lady said to herself.

Simran rushed in Rathore's arms with tears in her eyes.
"You scared me?" Simran said and gave Rathore a kiss on his cheek.
"Why didnt you say that you were ill?" Simran asked.
Rathore was too shocked and confused to even react.
