I am going to do an OMG a la Jyo today for the cracker of an episode I viewed just awhile back...Yeah, yeah! I know...I am late...very very late...but OMG what an episode...Gurmeet and Kratika took their performances to a new level. đ
After one year Yash stands where Aarti was at the time of the marriage...going against his ethical grain and trying to hide a family secret...a secret that holds his parents' honor into his folds...SP Scindia stands where Prashant Dubey was. No wonder he was so quick to lap up Prashant's grand views of Aarti...his own opinion regarding Radha on the similar lines. Not only that, like Prashant, he too justifies his infidelity as an understandable mistake..."You see...we are men...we make such mistakes. That doesn't mean we shall own up to it in public."
Aarti was in shock...she sees her God climb down the pedestal on his own volition. She knows he is making a mistake by resorting to knee-jerk decision. No way can a principled man like Yash live with his conscience with such a big secret in his chest...it will burn a hole through his heart and make his living life hell. Aarti has been in that hell...during the divorce lie and BMT fiascos...There's no way she'll let him go through that. She was right in that Yash needed to know the entire truth and then make a decision.
Yash and Aarti are soul mates...period. One look at each other and they knew what was going on inside the other. Yash has made a wrong, unethical decision and he knows it...yet he wants Aarti's support in it. Contradiction...right? Somewhere there he relied on her to offer an alternative...to save him from taking such a step. He is so consumed with the thoughts regarding the welfare of his family...that he is refusing to dwell too much on the wrong done to Radha and Aakash. He is trying to justify his decision by pacifying his self why Radha and Aakash will survive this tragedy..."I will compensate Aakash; I shall give him all my assets...The lady is strong; after all she single-handedly reared Aakash...but ma will break down." And Aarti is like..."Listen to what you are saying...your words sadden me.".../..."So call me a deceiver, a liar, a fraud if you wish...but I will be the shield for my parents and family and take all the dents that come my way." Aarti knows this decision will slow poison him...as she braces herself to tell the truth about his birth...that just might swing the pendulum. Who knows?
Aakash...what a fate to have...an orphan with three parents...illegitimately sired and disowned by one, kidnapped by the the second, and ridiculed and insulted by the one who gave birth to him. They blackened his face...but did they once look at their hands? The blackened hands of cruelty? They just stained their blood with their own hands.
SP Scindia...Even if for a moment one forgives his straying in his marriage and being disloyal to Gayatri...can one forgive a father who stands there and sees his own flesh and blood being humiliated by his other children...and does nothing to stop Pankaj/Prateek from crossing the lines of decency? On the contrary he revels in the vulgarity...even patting himself and his partner-in-crime (the unknown labwallah) for having been successful in conning everyone ...What was Radha thinking then? Why didn't she step forward to yank Aakash away from there? Is there some kind of smug satisfaction in her genuine grief for Aakash?...To see SP's son being meted such humiliation...the SP who condemned her to a life of burdened regret when he disowned his child. Both SP and Radha think they are game changers...they both played around with Yash and Aakash's lives. Karma is bound to catch up with them...
Gaytari has been wronged...most definitely very wronged...but something tells me she will come out of this sooner...She has her family backing her up. Also, her thinking will soothen her wound...From where she comes, she accepts that people can fall pray to physical desires...Heck, she was ready to forgive Aarti, her bahu, when she thought Aarti had an affair with Aman...
