Irrfan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui at war?

Rumour has it that talented duo Irrfan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui can't stand each other, and prefer to keep to themselves when they are shooting together.

We've heard that Irrfan, who has made it big internationally and is also revered in Bollywood, doesn't like the constant comparisons made between him and Nawaz, the newer 'actor' on the block.

"Nawazuddin is touted as the next Irrfan and neither of them is pleased with it," revealed our source. Irrfan denied the alleged tiff between the two stating, "It's not true at all. I just did a film with him called The Lunchbox. If he is touted as the next Irrfan, why would I have an issue with it? You should ask him as to how he is receiving it!"

Nawazuddin explained, "Irrfan is my senior. He has his own style of working, I have my own. Comparing us would be underestimating our talent! No actor wants to be touted as the next so-and-so as you want to carve your niche and create your own identity. Just because I entered the industry later doesn't mean I have to be compared to him. We have a cordial relationship. I idolise actors like Dilip Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah, but I wouldn't want to be compared to them either. I don't want to be the next Irrfan."
