Bhalla plays the lead in Shanno Ki Shaadi

This actor cum singer is here to stay! Currently seen in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin as Armaan's friend, he is now set to play the lead in Star Plus's new show Shanno Ki Shaadi.
"I play the character of a rich Sindhi NRI. I come to India for bride hunting. Its the story that unfolds between me and a local girl called Shanno," says Vikas.
The serial is based on the film My big fat Greek wedding. "The director of the serial Rajeev Mehra offered me the role. And frankly, I accepted to play this role because I liked the feel of the film," shares Vikas.
Shanno ki shaadi is about a girl called Shanno, the daughter of a dhaba owner. Shanno's parents find it difficult to get her married owing to her mounting age. Divya Dutta will essay the role of Shanno.
"My character meets her and falls in love with her. It actually begins with my love for the paratha she makes at the dhaba," he narrates.
Vikas doesn't forget to mention that Divya was generous enough to have made parathas for everyone on the sets. "She made such lovely parathas," he confesses. He is also working on his music album which will release by the end of the year. He will feature in three films; Marigold, Choodiyaan and Pyar Mein twist.
Shanno Ki Shaadi will launch on Sunday. It is a half an hour weekly.
