Many times there are films that randomly come and seem to win over the hearts of the audience. VICKY DONOR, PAAN SINGH TOMAR, and KAHAANI are some examples. These films didn't have much hype before their release, but they came, entered the hearts of the audience and became success stories!
Films will be vying for a similar position this year. KAI PO CHE seems to be the first. The film has been getting such a positive vibe amongst people and it seems like a lot of people are really "in" to this film.
Friendship, inspiration, youthful feeling...it seems like the type of film that will work. Also, director Abhishek Kapoor's last film, ROCK ON, emerged a success on the basis of content. I think that the film will take a slow opening, but positive word of mouth will catch on and the film will emerge a success story! The film's business will be best at multiplex-dominated centers.

Opening Day: 4 crores
Opening Weekend: 15 crores
Lifetime Collections: 45 crores
Overall Box Office Verdict: Hit
