Arjun is known to take the easy route when the road forks- when he got engaged to Ovi, when instead of walking away from the hilltop, he got married to Ovi, when to save face he made it to his reception all decked and sajjoed, when Purvi told him he could do what his heart desired (he said her family would come apart but was he merely taking the easy way out?) he decided to stay put in his marriage, he tried to make his own thorny bed softer by praising Ovi at that work party, mollified her by giving her that baby, and now that Ovi is being sickly sweet, he does not want to rock his happy boat. Cannot blame him.
