this topic is so hilarious.. I don't understand why ppl keep saying kareena is not the first choice for CE over and over again.. but yet claim it doesn't even matter to discuss it. Why point it out if it doesn't matter? lol and than picking on desu when you guys are doing the same thing she's doing.. giving importance to who the first choice was. Lets all be honest here... first choice does matter esp in roles that require acting.

Why do you think it would be hailed? I don't see it as a huge deal. Even movies like Student of the Year were a collaboration between two production houses- Dharma and Red Chillies but so what? So is 2 States, Dharma and Nadiadwala Grandsons.

There's really no point counting your chickens before they hatch. Look what happened to movies like Agent Vinod and Kurbaan which some people were going crazy about. Look what happened to Heroine! Aishwarya and Kareena fans fought to the death over stupid details about that movie, from casting to how much she would be paid and what a triumph it was that she was getting part of the profits. Was it worth it? It turned out to be a movie nobody would want on their resume.

As of right now, Kareena isn't doing too well. Her big project, Heroine, was a damp squib. She lost Ram Leela, who cares whose fault it was, her own or SLB's. I can't even remember a big Kareena win in recent times apart from maybe an item song like Fevicol. Her closest competitors are either racking up hit after hit like Katrina or winning awards like Vidya and Priyanka in great roles. Kareena is lost in the shuffle and that's what people will notice right now until she actually has something to show.

Now you can wish her future will be better and that's a possibility but you can't count on it as if it's already happened. That's why I don't really see the point of talking about things like the Zoya Akhtar project because it's not even concrete yet and may or may not happen and even if he does, it might take years! Rumored projects are not enough because even if they happen, they might not be good. Just wait for her to release a big movie, watch it become a hit, see her win an award, and then you can say as much as you want that she's doing awesomely.
