They say that the still water runs deep and sometimes the saddest person is the one who laughs the most!
For the first phrase where I can see an image of Ratan, the second stands tall for none other than our Moti Chaiji!
Anyone knows her name? anyone knows her identity? Who she is and how she is related to Ratan's family? No... simply coz she have always been Moti Chaiji... no names given, no relations of her own... just an address "Moti Chaiji" thats what she has been for everyone!
We have loved her... adored her... respected her... but yesterday I my heart went out to her. she have understood Ratan's pain more than anyone else and have been the pillar of her support all through her ordeal. Infact, Moti chaiji has been the driving force behind Ratan... handling her home and kids while Ratan went out to fulfill the responsibilities and earn a living. She bubbled and crinkled with laughter... played with Ranvi and Veera, pampering them and being the typical grandmother... her chemistry with kids have been excellent. She's a matriarch to the family, sprinkling words of wisdom as and when, fighting their demons outside their house whenever need called. She has stood by them!
But this wisdom, understanding and laughter comes from a pain that is so deep etched that it has split her heart yet she never have let the pain and sorrow mar her zeal for life. She was punished for something she had no role to play in... she was betrayed and abandoned, no wonder she understood Ratan so well... for she could simply relate to her troubles. We all knew that she has been through tough times, but yest when she narrated the story of her life, one could see that though she always made an attempt to ease the worries of other's, her own wounds were still fresh... she had just learned to live with a wounded heart... compromised with her destiny... but her wounds remained unhealed... for she really had no one to share her life with... no husband, no siblings, no children, no family! Sampooran's family was the one she considered her own and she never ran short of the continuous supply of love for them. Affable and lovable, mistreated by life yet she has no bitterness embedded in her sorrows. She only knows to give.
She harbors a heart of pure gold. A salute this woman!
