My dear Amber,
You have hit the nail on the head@ red. PR is the like the Tar Baby in the Br'er Rabbit stories. It sticks to you for good, and neither can you leave it nor will it leave you. So, I am sure that everyone here will be around for the next Great Leap Forward (with apologies to Chairman Mao, who must be glowering at me for such a sacrilege!). Why, I 'quit' when the paternity of Purvi's baby was revealed, to my profound dismay and disgust. Well, I post but rarely these days, especially when compared to my output 6 months ago, but I am still watching PR and dropping in here from time to time.
I am glad to know that you are focusing on projecting a positive and gentle spirit to your students; that is what we all need right now. As for why 'bored housewives' enjoy all this rona dhona and melodrama, why, my dear, if sophisticated and responsible young people can openly call for a baby to die so that their favourites can get back what they themselves, deliberately threw away some months back, what can one say?
On a more positive note, I was glad to see that - completely contradictory to what had reportedly been shown on SBB, and which appeared to be a cause for great rejoicing among those seeking to bring ArVi together again - Arjun did NOT go to see how Purvi was, but rushed to his wife Ovi, who had beem thrown out of the car and was lying on the road. I had gone by the reports about this SBB segment ( I do not watch SBB), and felt that it was disgusting if Arjun had behaved like that.
I am VERY glad he did not, for I used to have a great deal of affection for him, and some of that still lingers. It also goes to show that neither the SBB reports nor the precaps can be trusted. There was a prcap showing someone trying to shoot Purvi and that never materialised. As for this SBB segment, I am very pleased that the report about it was all wrong, and that Arjun was not shown as a jerk who looks out for his former fiancee (who had a husband in attendance) and not for his own wife and their child.

Many of us felt a dire need of detachment the day, all that was 'Pavitra' in the show faded into oblivion. But all we were waiting, was the official announcement of the show going off air...its inflicting negativism for so long a time ...In the brave new world she is portraying women in such a bleak light!!!!!!!!!!!!...
I am a simple Assistant Professor and in my every lecture all that on which I maximize my focus is to keep my surroundings dew-fresh, oozing out positive vibes be it among my students or colleagues (Sorry for it sounds like being self presumptuous) but Ektaji even after holding such a strong position in industry and as a natural consequence in society doesn't she own any responsibility to the tv viewers? .
...A show can be entertaining...can have trps without being didactic if she thinks conveying positive intensity is not her buisness...but I wonder What entertainment sprouts from baby donations or from out of the wedlock pregnancies and I pity those 'boring housewives' (Ignorance is blissđđ¤˘) mentioned by Shayamala ji wud enjoy the baby daan pr miscarriages when it happen in their close circle...how do they identify with such cruel acts being shown on the national tv????????
I wonder really Why in Ekta's universe 'sahanskati' is recognized as the only 'shakti' when it comes to women... and that too such idiosyncratic/whimsical Sahanskati ???
Once upon a time Pavitra Rishta and the passionate portrayal of darling Arvi casted a spell on me but now eve the written update of every Pr episode leaves me in appallingly bad temper that lasts after big elongated 10 minutes.đ¤˘
I watch Yrkkh and Qubool Hai...( I like Heena Khan and Asad )even Saathiya sometimes for the light vein entertainment but I miss Pavitra Rishta after saying RIP for it!
I wish I could ... Well the wish list could be too long...but then if the wishes were horses even the beggars wud ride!đ
