"I'm sorry bete" Savitri Devi wholeheartedly apologized. "No Ma... please aap sorry mat kahiye" Viren raked his hand through his hair. Savitri Devi walked over to Nandita and placed a hand over her shoulder, "Aap humse naraz hai na Nandita." Nandita pursed her lips and just slightly shook her head, not wanting to hurt the female she regarded with utmost respect. She looked at the couple, "Do you trust me?" she asked. Nandita now placed her hand over Savitri Devi's and said, "Ma... it's not about not trusting you at all. You know we will never defy your decisions. Sasha se hum mil chuke hain. Agar Vicky usse pasand karta hai toh hum kyun mana karte? Phir yeh itni jaldi sab..." she expressed her feelings. "Exactly Ma... what was the rush?" Viren seconded Nandita. Savitri Devi knew this was coming. No parents would have liked to be kept in dark about their child's life. And so Savitri Devi told them what transpired and why she went there all by herself. Where Viren was a little peeved at Mr. Das's conduct, Nandita was baffled at his thoughts. "Ma... yeh baat toh humare mann main aayi bhi nahi. Agar bache ek dusre ko pasand karte hain toh yeh casteism kahan se aaya beech main?" Nandita queried. Savitri Devi smiled, "Bete... humne bhi unse yehi kaha aur us waqt halaat aise the ki humme wahin par yeh decision lena pada warna Mr. Das apni zid se kabhi nahi hat te" Savitri Devi explained further. Seeing where she was coming from. Nandita and Viren conceded with Savitri Devi. Nandita, hugged and thanked her mother in law and they wished for the happiness of their children.

"Maan jaldi chalao na... aap gaadi chala rahe ho ya bail gaadi?" Geet asked irritated as Maan tried to beat the Mumbai traffic down in his black and stylish Jaguar. He looked at her dubiously, "Geet... tum isse bail gaadi keh rahi ho? It's a Jaguar" he said with pride. She huffed, "Jaguar... sirf jaguar naam rakh dene se koi Jaguar nahi ho jaata. Aadhe ghante se yahin atke pade hain... bade aaye Jaguar" she kicked ahead of her. "Geet!", came the immediate shriek. Geet rolled her eyes. "Geet... dare you try to harm it or say a word against my car" he warned her. Her jaws dropped, "What's with you and your cars! Ek kaam kyun nahi karte aap, aag main jala deti hoon... aur aap apni gaadi main baithe 7 phere issi ke saath le lo... main bahar khadi hokar phool bhi daalungi... pakka" she said mocking him and he gave her sharp irritated look, "Very funny!" he grumbled. "Funny? Ae lo... main toh aapki happy ending ki baat kar rahi hoon" she retorted. "Geet!" he said in a menacingly low voice warning her, she huffed and turned away looking outside the window while she grumbled, "Dekha aapne Babaji... mujhse ladne main koi problem nahi hai par inki khatara gaadi ko koi kuch na bole" His jaws fell open, "Khatara? Meri gaadi khatara hai?" he said and pulling it to the side, and brought it to a jerky halt.
Geet immediately turned to him, "Gaadi kyun roki?" she cried. "Pehle meri car ko khatara kehne ke liye apologize!" he turned to her firmly. "Kisko? Aapki Gaadi ko?" Geet burst out laughing. "Tumhe hasi aa rahi hai?" he asked annoyed. "Maan you are being delusional, toh hasi toh aayegi na. Ab chaliye bohut ho gaya... Gaadi chalaiye warna..." she warned him. "Warna kya?" he dared her. "Warna main cab leke ghar chali jaaungi" she asserted, folding her arms across her chest. Angered, he said nothing but gritted his teeth and looked straight forward. She looked at him from the corner of her eyes and frowned, "Rokenge nahi mujhe?" she asked confused and yet there was no response. She turned to him completely and saw the set jaw lines and his stiff posture, and realized that she had snubbed him too far. "Maan" she treaded carefully but he turned his face away. "Maan... main toh sirf jaldi chalane ko keh rahi thi na" she pouted and he spun towards her, "Oh Really! Geet subah se dekh raha hoon tum mujhe irritate kar rahi ho... bina bataye chali jaati ho, attitude dikha rahi ho... ab dinner ke liye kaha toh woh bhi nahi... bas ghar jaldi jaane ki rat, aur ab tumhe cab leke ghar jaana hai, itni hi jaldi hai toh mujhse milne kyun aayi? You could have headed home straightaway with Anu, nahi?" he asked miffed.
Geet bit her lower lip; she indeed had pushed him far. True, she enjoyed irritating him but then she knew even she would have been upset, if he would have been in the vicinity somewhere and wouldn't have met her or even taken her call. Well that wasn't her fault but things don't change and he still didn't know where she went in the afternoon. She wanted to tell him about Vicky and Sasha but they were so engrossed building castles of their dreams that rest had all skipped from her mind. He wanted to take her out for dinner and she almost consented when Anu called and admonished her. It was then that she realized that they were late and Maan needed to be home. He protested and was also a little disappointed but she pacified him telling she would fill up the details in the car. But soon they were stuck in Mumbai traffic and as usual their conversation had gone tangential and so here they were, in the middle of the road, he sulked while she felt guilty – unnecessarily, her mind told her but still she didn't want to spoil the evening. After all, it could be the last evening they were spending together before their wedding, as she knew once in Delhi, they would soon be getting busy with the preparations. So, she took it on her to pacify him and she knew exactly what she could do to divert his mind at once. She smiled to herself. If he knew what effect he had on her, she too was not oblivious to the sensations she aroused in him. Just that, he used it ever so often while she was still a novice in this game as compared to him.
"Maan" she warily ventured and when he still didn't look at her, she placed her palm on his cheek and turned him to her a bit forcibly. "Itna gussa!" she cutely said. He rolled his eyes and removed her hand from his face. "Tum ab tak yahin ho? Is khatara main? You want me to help you get a cab?" he rowed. She pressed her lips tight before moving further. Placing her hand on his arm, "Arre, mere pass itna handsome driver hai, jo mujhe apni JAGUAR main ghar le jaa raha hai... main kyun cab main jao?" she mused, unbuckled her seatbelt and shifted closer to him. He shot her a don't-act-smart look and turned away lest he fell for her ministrations. She pushed her nervousness back and continued, "Aapko pata hai Maan, aap jab aise gussa hokar muh phulate ho na, you just look all the more hot!" Maan's eyes widened and he felt her soft lips on the skin of his arm just where the fabric of his sleeves ended. "Geet!" he warned, trying to jerk his hand from her hold. But she held on to it adamantly. "Maan gussa sehat ke liye haanikarak hota hai" she said rising a bit so that her voice was just a whisper in his ears. Her hand slid ever so sensuously over his chest, stopping momentarily over his heart. The escalated beats of his heart matched the pace of hers; she smiled while he tried hard to get a grip over himself.
She blew gently just below his earlobe and he found himself losing control and fast. Heck, they were on a highway, on the middle of the road and here she was seducing him, inviting him and he was being drawn in... this needed to be stopped and fast, he thought under duress, fearing the flicker of his passion would soon erupt in flames unless he stopped her. "Ab tumhe der nahi ho rahi?" he asked sternly, the setting passion only too visible in his eyes. Geet shook her head for a no, her gaze fixed on Maan. He raised his brow at her. While his rational head told him, it was a ploy; a more potent voice in his head was urging him to fall for it. He wished to know what she would do next and he felt her lips on his shoulder, her hand coming to rest across his chest to his distant shoulder as she then kissed his jaw line. "Geet!" his voice dropping to a husky whisper as he put some distance between them by gently gripping her shoulders and pushing her back just a bit. His hand moved to turn the key in the ignition and much to his surprise; he felt Geet's fingers trailing down the length of his arm, setting his skin on fire in its course. He looked at her, his gaze fell on her lips before moving to gaze deeper in her eyes, probing and warning. But her fingers entwined with his, defying his threats. His admiring eyes grew darker by the moment. And before he could comprehend, she pulled her hand back and moved back swiftly on her seat beside him. He blinked a couple of times and then noticed that the car keys were missing. He growled and when he turned to her, she was holding up the keys, smiling mischievously. "Geet!" he sneered, as he moved ahead to take the keys. And she hid it behind her.
Maan moved ahead, leaned over her and his hand slid past her waist to take the keys, as she squealed and continued her playful charade. But then she was soon falling under his magnetism, and when his hand brushed past her waist and his breath fell on her neck, she knew her plan was backfiring on her. She might be placating him but now she was reveling under her desire for him. And then she made an involuntary move, stilling him in a beat, she kissed his Adam's apple. He groaned and instantly pulled back to read her eyes. It was as if he was with a newly found Geet. Her glazed eyes screamed love while her cheeks flushed a deep hue of red, presenting a contrasting and lethal concoction of innocence and seduction. His insides blazed with the flared up flames of desire as his hand slid over her back, to cradle her neck. And her arms encircled around his neck, holding him captive.
Now that she read his eyes, she knew she had stirred in his latent emotions, waking up a ravenous devil who longed just for her. Thousands of butterflies were somersaulting in the pit of her stomach and her toes curled. She tried to take her eyes away from his, to break the moment, but now it was no more hers, it was his... He had so quickly toppled her that now she was the pawn ready to melt in his flame. It no more mattered where they were or what they were doing. It was just the two of them. He gently tugged her dupata, and it fell on her lap. And then he leaned in to mark his trail from the sensitive spot just below her ear to her neckline. The dark interiors of the car shielded them, and his body, bend over hers, shielded hers completely. They were caving in their passion and his kisses went from being gentle to urgent. Her head fell back and he placed his hand on her thigh to align herself more to him. "Maan" she moaned and he in an instant shut her up with his lips. Her hands caught a fistful of his hair, while he kissed her with passion that threatened to consume her. She held him for support and his hand edged to move up, below her kurti, feeling the warmth of her skin stroking just below the rise of her swell, feeling the soft fabric that held her while continuing to explore her mouth. Geet gasped when she felt his hand slide moving further up to stroke her sideways. He gently bit her lower lip and they came up for air.
Maan placed a small peck just next to her lips, on her nose and pulled her along, both trying to get a grip over themselves. Blushing profusely, Geet could hear his erratic heartbeats and gently pecked him there. "Aaj bohut pyaraa raha hai?" he asked even as he tightened his hold around her. "Kyun? Pyar jatana sirf aapko aata hai?" she countered. Pleasantly surprised by her answer, he pulled her a little apart to look at her. Too shy, she refused to look at him but kept playing with the button of his shirt. He wondered if she realized what her asserting words did to him and what pictures they painted in his mind. He sighed! A few days more before he would make her his in every worldly way... "Kya soch rahe ho?" Geet asked when he looked lost. He grinned, casting her shameless look, making her immediately regret her question. It was too apparent in his eyes what he was thinking. She tried to move away but he was quick and held her in place, "Was just wondering..." he blew gently on her face. She tried to push him away, "Nahi enough! I don't want to know about your wonderments!" she blurted. He pulled her closer, "Wonderments? (he shook his head and came closer to whisper) Fantasies Mishty... Fantasies about you and...!", he winked. "Maan!" she pleaded. But he was not to be deterred, "Ahh Mishty, and here I thought you were telling me who would rein the game of seduction on our wedding night!" he said feigning disappointment. Her jaws dropped at his shameless remark and her mouth formed an 'O'. "Is that an invitation?" he asked moving ahead, thoroughly enjoying himself. She shut her mouth at once and tried to push him back, "Don't tell me you planning to develop cold feet at the last moment" he mocked her. She grumbled and struggled against him. He laughed for a moment, but then pulling her back with his full might, looking deep in her eyes stilling her movements, all traces of humour gone, he whispered, "Even if you wish, you will never be able to determine the need you alight in me, Geet... (her breath hitched as she understood his words) you are my need! The ardor of this flame you kindle in my soul, scares me. I am obsessed, I am selfish and I need you all for myself. (He leaned in and trailed a path with his lips on the length of her throat) We have been through so much... waited for so long... that it has begin to hurt, I need to make you mine Geet... MINE! (his lips now trailed on her collarbone to her neckline, where he gently nibbled and licked the tantalizing skin close to her heart, until she moaned his name and then he pulled back... his dark orbs staring right into her glazed ones) I hate to stop, Geet! And once we take the vows, I promise to not let anyone intrude my right on you... not even yourself... I won't let you escape then" Not able to bare more, she moved into his ready arms hiding herself deep in his chest.
And then... well then happened what neither of them had ever thought of. There was a harsh knock on his side of the window.

"Yeh Maan aur Geet kahan reh gaye?" Nandita mused. Nandita had invited Geet for dinner to celebrate the development in Vicky's life. Since, Geet was now a part of the family, no celebrations could be complete without her. "Main phone karti hoon Maan ko" Nandita said reaching out for her phone. "Koi zaroorat nahi hai mumma. Aap bhool rahe hain, Geet Maan Veerji ke saath hai" Anu said grudgingly. Vicky and Dadi ma chuckled. "Aa jayenge thodi der main dono" Dadi Ma said to calm her. "Lekin kab? Mujhe Geet se kitni saari cheezen discuss karni hai. Kitne din hai shaadi ko?" Anu complained. "Beta, unki shaadi hai. These days are precious for them" Viren chipped in coming and settling beside the rest of the clan in the living room. "What precious? Papa aap Maan Veerji ko jaante nahi ho... humesha Geetu ko kidnap karke le jaate hain" she went on to tell them how Maan had tricked her in the past. Surprised at Maan behaving it in this manner, they all shared a good laugh. "Hum toh kahenge, Maan bilkul apne Papa par gaye hain" Dadi Maa winked while Viren and Nandita felt embarrassed.

Maan and Geet were so involved in a moment of their passion that they were completely lost to their ambiance. It was not daily that Geet took such advances towards him. But whenever she did, it worked like sweet poison on Maan. He knew she was trying to divert his mind but then it didn't take time for him to realize that the need burning in him was catching her in its blaze too. His demure seductress was the death of him... so alluring that he was drawn like a moth to fire... the fire that was so prepared to melt along with him. And so before they knew, the small act had intensified. They were reveling in the bliss of their fervour, so engrossed in each other's arms that they didn't notice of the patrolling van that was passing by. Couple of traffic cops had come to check the car that was parked on the side lane on the highway and the sight they were greeted with, simply made them roll their eyes! The girl was in the man's embrace and both had their eyes shut caught unaware to the presence of cops. The situation wasn't new for them after all! They knocked a little too rudely to call the attention.

"Kahan phasa diya aapne Babaji" Geet grumbled and clung to him practically digging all her nails in his arms. She was tugging his coat around her tight and her dupata covered her head as she cowered behind his back, peering over his shoulder occasionally, mortified with embarrassment. They were in police station now, the constable giving the senior officer an account of how he had caught the couple, "coo-chi-cooing" in the car on the highway. "Excuse Me! Aap jaante hain aap main kaun hoon?" Maan glowered. "Haan haan sab pata hai! Tere jaise sadak chaap romeo bohut dekhe hai" the constable replied. Maan fumed, "Watch-your-words!" he bit out through gritted teeth. "You should have watched your actions mister!" The senior officer shot back. "Maan, gussa mat kijiye na" She whispered quietly knowing well his anger will only land them in trouble. You couldn't mess with a policeman's ego now, could you? He glared at her indicating her to shut up and let him handle the matter! He knew they had gotten a little carried away and knew right from the beginning that it was not a good idea... but who would have explained that to her who always chose a wrong time for everything! "Yeh Ladki mujhe pagal kar degi" he muttered.
"Aur tum! Bahar niklo... ab peeche kyun chup rahi ho?" the senior inspector called to her. Maan stepped right ahead, on alert and prevented the inspector so much as to even take a glimpse at her. "Aapko jo baat karni hai, mujhse kijiye!" he firmly said. Nervous wreck, yet Geet couldn't help but roll her eyes at his act. He needed to grow up! The inspector was surprised at first but later looked a little offended. "Dekho Mister...!" he was about to continue when Geet filled in, standing on her toes now to clearly look over his shoulder, "Maan Singh Khurana!" The inspector looked at her and Maan shut his eyes to contain himself, couldn't she just comply with his counsel for once. He slowly turned on his heels to give her a piece of her mind but before that she had rounded him and now stood ahead of him, facing the inspector. "Maan Singh Khurana!" she reiterated, "Haan, Maan Singh Khurana naam hai inka... Naam toh suna hi hoga" she ended Shahrukh Khan style. "Maan? Maan Singh Khurana?" The inspector tried to recall the association with this well heard name. "Geet!" Maan called to warn her, wondering what she was upto but was quickly cut by her dramatic voice, "Arre Bhaiya, wohi Delhi wale Maan Singh Khurana, East Villa ke Karta Dharta... Khurana Khaandan ke chasmo Chirag" Geet elaborated while the inspector and constable's face went pale as recognition drew in. Maan drew an impatient sigh... what was with her... when did the inspector become her 'bhaiya'. Inspector gulped and Geet continued, "Haan... ab aapne pehchana na... yeh wohi Maan Singh Khurana hai, Bhaiya... jo ek number ke sadu hai! Khadoos hai! Dusht Danav hai! Bhaiya, aap please inse kuch mat kahiye... inko gussa aa jaye toh yeh sab kuch tod phod dete hain... Toofan mail hai toofan mail!" she said pretending to be a little scared while Maan gaped at her. Wondering, what was she trying to do?
"Aur aap?" inspector hesitantly asked. "Ji... main inki mangetar hoon aur yeh mere hone wale pati parmeshwar!" she said coyly fixing her dupata on her head, her eyes suddenly drawn towards the floor. Maan rolled his eyes at her demure act. "Par agar, yeh East Villas ke Maalik hai toh road par... wahan... khuli sadak pe... mera matlab hai aap dono apne hotel main bhi toh..." Maan's head snapped at the unabashed constable, eyes spitting fire to which the poor chap whimpered before falling short of words. Geet blushed as she remembered what happened between them but quickly found her voice back, lest Maan spoiled the escape she was so close to building. The thought of anyone even finding out about this cause her to shudder and she shook her head before continuing, "Chi Chi Babaji! Bhaiya main kya aisi waisi ladki dikhti hoon?" she asked in a horrified voice. "Lekin sir, maine inko dekha tha" constable defended himself. Geet started crying now... infact wailing!
"Kya hua Behanji?" constable asked while a baffled Maan didn't quite understand the sudden rush of tears too, but her address was like a punch in her gut. "Behan ji" she almost screeched passing an indigenous look at the constable. Maan almost burst out laughing but stifled his mirth when the look of offence shifted on him. He cleared his throat to say something but she stamped on his feet hard. "Ouch" he yelped and Geet passed him a serves-you-right look before swiftly getting back to her charade. The inspector passed a quizzical look to both. Maan knew she and Anu could get quite theatrical but here she was surpassing all her standards. When she began to cry, the inspector offered her water and tissue and Maan stood at a corner ignored. "Aap theek hai na?" Inspector asked. "Haan Bhaiya" Geet sniffed. "Woh hua yun tha ki inko na Gajar ka halwa bohut pasand hai. Toh inhone mujhe Halwa banana ko kaha... maine kabhi halwa nahi banaya tha... pehli baar banaya toh shakkar thodi zyada pad gayi... bas itni si baat pe (sniff) itni si baat pe yeh gussa ho gaye (sniff sniff)... itna gussa ki sagai todne ki dhamki dene lage" she started wailing now and Maan gawked at her incredulously. He gritted his teeth. "Main toh bas inhe mana ne ki koshish kar rahi thi, jab constable bhaiya ne humme dekh liya" she added after a moment. The constable wiped his tear, "Sorry Behanji... (going over to Maan) Jeeja ji aapko aisa nahi karna chahiye... Aap mere ghar chaliye main apni Maa se keh kar aapko world ka best halwa khilaunga... par humari behanji se sagai mat todiye" Maan stared at Geet who flinched every time the constable addressed her 'behanji'. He was half expecting her to pick up the paper weight she was eyeing so intently and smash his head. "Nahi todenge na, humari behan ji ke saath sagai?" constable pleaded and he rolled his eyes at her and then her newly found bhaiya. He was tongue-tied... after all, all his life he was under the impression that these stupid scenes were only part of stupid Bollywood movies!
"Geet!" finding his voice, he grumbled and turned to the inspector determined to end this drama and get out of this place soon, he'll deal with this saccharine trickster who also was his finace, later, "Dekhiye Inspector..." he began, but the constable cut him off, "Nahi Jeeja ji... kuch mat kahiye... mujhse galti ho gayi... (turning to the inspector) Sir, please inko jaane do... Behanji mujhe maaf karna" he said apologetic. "Koi baat nahi, Bhaiya... aap humari shaadi main zaroor aana" Geet bit still putting up with the act.
"Hmm" The inspector sighed and Geet turned to him but he stepped towards Maan, "My junior is not married so excuse his ignorance. But I am married for a decade now and can empathize with you! Your fianc is pretty good! Ever thought of coaxing her to venture into acting... she surely can make big!" Maan sighed, looked over to Geet and shrugged and Geet's jaws fell open when the inspector turned to her, "just that you must avoid taking it over the top, you see!" Geet whimpered while the constable looked confused. Inspector turned to Maan again, "And that stamp looked pretty bad... hope you haven't hurt yourself!" he said making it clear that when Geet stamped Maan, there was someone who had noticed and then he came to stand in front of Geet who was visibly embarrassed. Maan could see the real tears simmering at the corner of her eyes and quickly stepped to stand beside her. "Miss, aapne mujhe bhaiya kaha hai, right... so as a brother it's also my duty to ensure you don't repeat the offence, right?" he asked rhetorically. Geet was nervous now... "Inspector!" Maan tried to intervene but he cut him off turning to the constable, "Mahesh! In dono ko andar karo... aur inke contact details lo... inke ghar walon ko bulao idhar" he said with authority. Maan snapped his head at the cop, "Inspector!" but with a hand raised he shut him off, "Jaanta hoon aap Maan Singh Khurana hain... But it's my duty"
Anxious, Geet turned to Maan, "Maan ab kya karenge? Adi veerji ko pata chala toh woh toh aapka muh tod denge" she said. "What! Adi... mera muh todega?" he shot back incredulously. "Aap aise situation main bhi mujhse behas karoge?" she countered. "Nahi! Tum aisi situation main bhi apne Veerji ki gungaan karna" he shot back but then inhaled deeply to get hold over himself, this was not the time to fight. Thinking something, he asked, "I hope I can make a call... I'll call my people myself". The inspector shrugged. He inhaled deeply... there was no other option and this was potential suicide! Arghhh! He knew he was damned for life after this episode... He wished Geet ke Babaji could manifest himself and save him from the embarrassment that was to follow! But then was he left with any other option but to call up someone at home? He turned to look at Geet who was looking at him with expectant eyes! How frustrating it can get, he thought! She was so close to him and he was so drugged when he had to withdraw and then this... This surely wasn't his day! "Maan aap kiska number yaad kar rahe ho? Anu, anu ko phone kare?" she asked and he screeched in panic, "Hell No!" he was horrified at the suggestion, the blabbermouth that Anu was, the news was sure to reach the ears of every member of the family... and then he thought for the safest option, "Dev!"
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
"Mom, mujhe nahi lagta veerji aane wale hain" Vicky said, his eyes fixed at the bowl of delicious curry. Dadi ma gently smacked his head. "Main phone karke check karta hoon" Dev offered and picked his cell to call Maan but exactly at that point, Maan called him. "Veerji" he told everyone holding up his cell. "Dev, phone ko speaker par daal. Aaj toh yeh mujhse daant khaane wala hai" Nandita suggested. Vicky hushed everyone as Dev received the call and placed it in the centre of the dining table, putting it on the speaker. "Hello... Veerji..." Dev began but was instantly cut off. "Dev kahan hai tu?" Maan asked. The urgency in his voice, putting everyone on alert. "Ghar par Veerji. We are waiting for you" Dev offered. Maan sighed, "Acha... umm... listen... woh... (Maan stammered and Vicky raised his brow while everyone else shared confused looks) Dev kya tere ass pass koi hai?" Maan cautiously ventured. Suspicious glances shared across the table, before Viren gestured Dev not to tell him that they were around. "Dev!" Maan called. Dev cleared his throat, "Nahi Veerji... koi nahi hai yahan!" he gulped. Surely information that was to come by was not meant for everyone's ears. A sigh of relief on the other end, "Listen to me... kisi se kuch mat kehna... just come to Juhu police station" Maan uttered. Geet bit her lips... wondering how was she gonna face Dev now.
"Police station? Veerji is everything alright? Aap police station kya kar rahe ho?" Dev asked all prepared to charge out. The playful environment had suddenly turned serious. "Err... I'm fine, Dev... nothing serious... just that... emm... I and Geet... woh... umm... we were coming home... emm..." Maan hesitated. Dev frowned, "Veerji, was there any accident?" he asked. "No!" Maan exclaimed. "Toh phir? Aap ghar aate aate police station kaise pohunche?" confused, Dev asked. Maan let out a loud sigh, "Dev... we were caught... err...We were in the car, on the highway... when a patrolling car..." Maan trailed shutting his eyes with his hand trying to imagine the look on his brother's face, this had to be a nightmare, he thought! "YOU WERE WHAT?" Dev almost shouted disbelievingly. "Dev shhh! You don't have to alarm everyone" Maan said through gritted teeth. "Err... Veerji if I'm not mistaken you mean you were caught being hanky panky on the highway in your car?" Dev asked to confirm, raising his brow. The worried faces now shocked, jaws dropping to form a 'O' amongst the ladies while men looked everywhere else but at the women around the table. Vicky jeered while Anu cringed and shut her eyes, too much info about her Veerji and best friend love life was definitely avoidable. "Can you not put it in direct words please?" Maan cried while Geet cringed with embarrassment. "Oh... yea... sorry..." Dev stuttered trying hard to control his laugh. "Don't laugh! And get here quickly, will you?" Maan bit out in frustration.
"Sure son! I too shall accompany Dev" replied Viren this time, in a tone matching Maan's. "Dad!" shocked Maan looked at Geet whose eyes grew large. The phone line disconnected and Maan and Geet were escorted towards the waiting area, waiting for what was to befall.
