Episode 14A: Nasha hai pyar bhi hai….

Days pass by…..their life goes on such rough and calm waters….Arjun tries to ignore her antics all most all the time…and even when he is irritated, he just chooses to silent…..Riya wasn't in the best of her mind set too….She was having second thoughts about her decisions at times….Arjun's behavior to her was so good…he was loving, caring and understanding..How could he do such a awful act….She was in a fix…she didn't know what to believe and what not…..was the letter true? Is this the same Arjun? should she go by with the letter or should she believe what was before her eyes..her heart had already started loving and falling for Arjun…even before their wedding…..did her heart judge him wrongly or was her mind acting foolishly? She seriously didn't know……

She decided to dig into the matter further….but she couldn't ask Arjun or Shree about this…..she chose to find out the past…..Arjun's past…and if there would be anything related to her Reshu di, it sure would surface, she thought! In that process, another name from Arjun's past came up before her…"Sameer"…..Arjun's best friend and their relationship was sore…..a sweet friendship transformed into a sour hate relationship…..Arjun treated him as a enemy and none knew the reason…what could be the reason for this sudden change??...Riya thought….."shaayad mummy ji kuch jaanthi ho…nahi nahi..unn se nahi pooch sakthi!"

Meanwhile Shree and Arjun's mom were now quite sure about the brewing problems between the newly wed couple…..Though Shree wasn't convinced initially by badi maa's intuitions, he later found out that there definitely was something true about it…..He had see many a times Riya acting indifferent to Arjun's love filled gestures……And he had also witnessed Arjun's anger and frustration after speaking to Riya over phone….One evening, he also saw Riya rejecting Arjun's lift and instead opting a cab!! Shree had approached Riya many times to find out the real problem but she kept pushing it away…she also warned him to stay out of this….And asking bhai wasn't an option at all…..He will surely blast him away!

But Shree wasn't a person who could stay quiet and watch his bhai's life go bizzard…So he tried his means and ways to unite them…He knew that both loved each other sincerely and it was just matter of time and the right situations, and then all will be well

It was the month of love, February….and Valentine's day was round the corner…..Shree and Arjun's mom planned to send the couple on a special romantic dinner date…..They booked a complete restaurant exclusively for them……A special treat, with special private romantic moments!

Arjun was ready to give it a try but he had his own apprehensions about Riya's reaction to the idea…..but Arjun's mom had told her that it was her gift to both of them for their first valentine's day and there was no way, she could refuse……She had made excuses of work but then she had to agree eventually……

Arjun's mom gifts a red designer saree and asks her to wear it for the dinner! She unwillingly nods to her request….The last thing she wished to do was hurt Arjun's mom……Riya had become pretty close to her and had started loving her and respecting her as her own mom…..She was in awe of the lady who was so full of energy and could charm anyone with her always pleasant smiling face!

So there they were driving to the hotel…..Arjun couldn't help steal glances of his beautiful wife sitting beside him who was looking gorgeous in that saree…..His inner senses and hidden desires knew no bounds now but he tightly gripped it within him and never exposed it to her…..She, on the other hand was feeling no better….a romantic date with her handsome super cool husband was the last thing she wanted….It was triggering of all the suppressed feelings and emotions within her…..But, she couldn't afford to lose her control without knowing the truth of his past….and about Reshu di!

They reach the hotel…..

Arjun: tum yahi rukho….main booking check karke aatha hoom…

Riya nodded and he went to the hotel manager to check their restaurant booking…..The manager was busy talking with another young guy…..There seemed to be an argument going on between them…Arjun waited for a few seconds but when the guy wasn't leaving, he pitched in

Arjun: Any problem???
[The guy and the manager turn to Arjun….]
Manager: [turns around and with a sweet pleasing smile] nothing sir……the restaurant is all yours……Just tell us whenever you are ready to order…….
The stranger guy is facing Arjun and doesn't listen to the manager…….As if judging the guy's need, Arjun speaks up to the manager still looking at the guy!
Arjun: Give him a table……
Manager: [surprised] SIR….but….
Arjun: [giving the manager a glance] mujhe koyi problem nahi hai bhai….…..just give him what he wanted……
Arjun smiles at the guy and he too returns a smile but he tries to act formal refusing the favor

Guy: hey no mister…ummm..actually, its ok….I will try some other place…..you needn't…[Arjun interrupts him]
Arjun: [holding out his hand] ACP Arjun Rawte…..
Guy: [shaking hands with him after a slight hesitation] Sid…..Siddharth

10 minutes later…….Riya and Arjun are at their table….

Riya: Arjun, woh ladka kaun tha??

Arjun: [looking up from the glass of water] oh…..he….he is Siddharth …

Riya: [suspiciously] Do you know him??

Arjun: [chuckling] nahi…just met him…but I must say, he is very friendly…..

Riya: aane mein itne dher lagaa dhi!! Ek ajnabee se itne dher baatein kar rahe teh aap?

Arjun: [smiles] actually, he wanted a table…..apne wife ke saat romantic dinner, u know? They are together after a long separation….……and that guy is dying to spend quality time with his wife….he has literally kidnapped his wife from their relatives and friends…..[laughs out saying that] a runaway honeymoon!!! Sounds funny na??

Riya: [a bit annoyed at his laugh] its not funny Arjun…its sweet!!! Its romantic!

Arjun: Riya, mera kehne ka matlab woh nahi tha…..the way he told me sounded funny, that's all!! Poor guy, what will he do if he doesn't get one private moment with his wife!! [looks eagerly for her response]

Riya: [a slight smile appears, dreamily even without her knowledge] WOW sooo romantic and interesting!!! Wife se itna pyar…aur itna kuch unke saat keliye…..!!

Arjun: tumhe woh sab romantic lagtha hai??

Riya: of course…issme kya doubt hai??…..[thinking for a moment and stops herself from blurting out more]

Arjun: [mind voice: agar tum yahi attitude hum dono ke beech mein bhi laogi toh humaari life bhi sahi track pe aa jaayegi Riya!] ab unko chodthe hai…lets forget them and get back to our [stops abruptly]

Riya: [rolling her eyes] ours what??

Arjun: [grins] our dinner!! Lets order…..

Riya: hmmm…

An hour earlier, at ETF office….Shree hesitantly walks up to Gauri….though they were good friends, or subconsciously a little more than that, they were yet to express their feelings to each other…..And there was a constant barrier that stopped both of them from proceeding further….For Gauri, it was the status and financial differences between their families and of course, Shree's flirty image bothered her! She felt that he must be having the same of just for fun relationship with her also…..She wasn't sure of his real emotions for her…..On the other hand, Shree was a bit apprehensive about his own image….he felt maybe Gauri didn't get close to him because she assumed him to be a playboy….and he also feared her reactions if he expressed his love to her…..The last thing he wanted was to lose her friendship……But he didn't want to miss the opportunity of celebrating this day of love with her….So he gathered up courage and went to her…The office was almost empty….And Gauri was also on the verge of completing her last bit of paper work of the latest case…...Holding out his hand to her and with a irresistibly cute smile, he spoke up in a romantic voice "Will you be my valentine Gauri?"

Present: at the hotel…

[They place the order and wait when Arjun tries to break the silence….]

Arjun: tumne kuch special dish kyun nahi order kiya???

Riya: [mind voice: mera dil ka haal aap kabhi nahi samjhenge Arjun…I really don't know what I am doing and what I should be really doing…….I don't feel like eating anything at all Arjun]

Arjun: what happened??kyun silent hogayi??

Riya: nothing…..i am dieting a bit…..

Arjun: [with a naughty cheeky smile] hmmm….[looks at her once more] ..You have indeed become plumpy…..accha kiya ke dieting kar rahi ho….

Riya:[not expecting such a reply from him…..she is really irritated but just smiles and controls her anger by drinking water] hmm…..soch rahi hoom ke iss dinner bhi skip kar hoom!…..…..[looks away from him]

Arjun: [sensing the anger from her cold attitude…he understands that a storm is brewing inside her] nahi…..itna dieting karne ki zaroorat nahi hai…..[looking at her intently once more]hmmm I got it now….[changing his opinion to cool her down]…actually its your saree and not you….iss saree ke wajeh se thoda plumpy lag rahi ho….you are just perfect Riya……bas saree ko teek se pehnna hai!

Riya: [smiling at his struggle to pacify her, sarcastically comments] aap koyi expert ke tarah bol rahe ho!!!

Arjun: [he is happy to change the topic] yeah I am an expert indeed…

Riya: [sarcastically] Oh yeah….as if you have worn a saree??

Arjun: maine nahi…par bohat saare ladkiyon ko pehnaaya hai…..

Riya: [rolling her eyes and shocked to hear that…her mind also starts thinking overboard]KYA??kisse??

Arjun: [without realizing what he is saying and to whom he is talking] College mein humaari ek gang tha….aur ussme bohat girls bhi teh……at the end of our 2nd year, we had organized ethinic day…..aur yeh ladkiyaan na?…kisiko bhi saree pehna nahi aathi….so I helped them wear it……afterall our batch's prestige was at stake…so I had to take it up as a challenge…..but it was interesting, you know!!

[Riya is angry to the core, jealous and what now…she bites her lips in rage]

Riya: [mind voice: yeah yeah kyun nahi hoga?……girls ko saree pehnaana interesting hi hogi!!……]

Arjun: And guess what……humaari group mein ek hot ladki thi….Shweta….she was my closest friend too…I mean ab bhi close friend hai...She got the best dressed award too…..

Riya: [mind voice: SHWETA?? Hot??? Close friend?? Zaroor girl friend hogi!!…na jaane kitne girl friends honge???]

Arjun: kya soch rahi ho???you don't worry…I will teach you too….[grins]

Riya: [angrily but controlling herself] haan haan…agle baar jab saree pehnungi tab sikhaa dijiye!……[pausing for a moment….she doesn't want to open up angrily and show her jealousy….so she gets up] I will be back now…..

Arjun: [getting up] kahaan jaa rahe ho?? Main bhi saath aatha hoom….

Riya: I am going to the washroom….kya wahaan bhi escort karne waale hai???

Riya storms out with her purse before Arjun can say something…….Arjun sits down and anxiously waits for her while Riya walks towards the poolside muttering to herself angrily]

Riya: shit, sab guys aise hi hai….typical flirts!…dekha kya kahaa…..ladkiyon ko saree??? Aur woh bhi koyi badi achievement ke tarah show off!!! Main sach pathaa karke humaare life sudhaarne ki khosish mein hoom….and he?? he keeps irritating and annoying me more…. Ab yeh Shweta kaun hai??? mere saamne usse Hot keh rahe hai??? Haddh hai yaar!!aisa ek flirty pati ho toh life mein aur kya chahiye??]

[Riya angrily walks back when she sees the waiter carrying a tray full of glasses to the pool side…..She stops him and picks a glass]
Waiter: but mam….[Riya snaps him short by an angry look and shoots back]
Riya: add it to our bill…..[she gulps the contents down before the waiter could say something….The waiter carries on after giving her a silent nod…..]

[Food has arrived and Arjun is patiently waiting for her……..Riya comes back and sits down……He smiles and starts serving her……They start eating silently……After about 5 minutes…..

Riya starts pressing her fingers on her head……]

Arjun: kya hua Riya??? Are you alright??

Riya: kuch teek nahi lag raha…..i am feeling uneasy…..my head is spinning……

Arjun: [looking at her plate] tumne kuch khaaya hi nahi……kuch khaalo…….you will be fine……..[but seeing her deteriorating state, he adds]Riya, chalo utto….lets go to the doctor…..

Riya: plzz Arjun, doctor nahi chahiye…..I want to go back home….i just want to lie down…..

Arjun: teek hai…lets go…..

[When paying the bill, Arjun understands that Riya drank something which made her dizzy…..He smiles at her state and pays the bill……He helps her to the car carefully and drives off……..

It is a cool rainy night and such a night is always romantic!!]

After moments of silence…..Riya breaks the silence…..Arjun is startled by her sudden talk…..In that state, Riya seems to have forgotten all her hatred to him…….And Arjun feels that she has overcome her inhibitions to get close to him!

Riya: kaise pati ho tum??? kitna haseen raat hai aur uphar se bhaarish bhi……tumaare khoobsurat biwi bhi saath hai……ek gaana nahi gaa sakthe tum?

Arjun: [startled by her talk][mind voice: lagtha hai drink ka asar shuru hogayi!!!] [smiles sweetly romantically at her] ghaana aur main??? Anyways, try kartha hoom…tumme kaunsa gaana chahiye sweetheart??

Riya: lo...woh bhi main kahoom kya????[hitting his head with her hand] tum ek dham buddhu ho Arjun!!!

Arjun: [in a funny tone]hey Riya….main tumaara pati dev hoom!!! Thoda respect tho dho!
Riya: is it???? Then sing a song!! Thoda kya bohat saaare respect dhoongi!!!

Arjun: [grins and sings casually] Gaata rahe mera dil, tuhi meri manzil...kahin beete na yeh raaten kahin beete na yeh din ..Gaata rahe ...

Riya: stop stop!!! Kuch aur naya gaana gao!!
Arjun: [looks into her deep eyes once and starts singing gazing her romantically in between]

[She slightly leans to his side and pecks his cheek….then bends and places her head gently on his shoulders while enjoying his song……He gets a shivery tickle when she does that and his song goes out of rhythm…her fragrance and sudden closeness was making him go crazy too….She suddenly sits up straight and makes a funny face at him….]

Riya: stop it…….dont kill that cute song……[after a few moments of silence, she screams out] hey hey stop the car……

Arjun: kyun???

Riya: stop, phir bathaathi hoom….[Arjun stops the car and Riya opens the door and steps out in the rain]

Arjun: heyyy RIYAAA bheeg jaavogi….dont get out…..

Riya: kitna unromantic ho tum Arjun…..tum bhi mere saath aa jaavo…..

Arjun: no way……[he tries to grab her hand but she shrugs off his hand and gets out…]

[She starts jumping and playing in the rain….Arjun is a silent viewer to her craziness….He just smiles at her childish behavior……She was being her innocent self swirling around and completely drenched in the rain….He keeps gazing at her through the front glass…….At one moment, she looks at him too…….Finally a magical moment comes up…….]

Riya: [looking at him and smiling sweetly…..a slight blush and then looks up towards the sky….swallowing rain droplets and in the top of her voice] Arjun, I LOVE YOU!

The loudness of her voice attracts audience….Arjun cant believe what he just heard…he is happy, confused and also embarrassed by it…….He jumps out of the car and catches hold of her….while she is still screaming out her confession again and again……

Arjun: ok ok…...i love you too...…but for now, come with me….iss poore duniya ko humaare pyar ke baare mein samjhaane ki zaroorat nahi hai!…..
Riya: [she encircles her hand around his neck] jaanne dho Arjun…let the whole world know it…… RIYA LOVES ARJUN!…..

[Arjun smiles and forces her into the car and drives off….She mumbles to herself all the way home……his smiles don't stop as he keeps thinking about what she did and said!!!]

By the time, they reach home, Riya is fast asleep…..Arjun opens the door for her….he smiles at the innocence of her face…..He lifts her in his arms as he doesn't want to disturb her sleep……She rests her head against his chest……He carries her to the room……]

Arjun: [placing her on the bed carefully] yeh toh poora bheeg chukhi hai…..aise hi sone dhi toh bhukaar aa jayegi….got to change her clothes…..but how?? [pats her] Riya Riya….kapde bathalke so jaavo….

[He removes her sandals and slowly looks up at her innocent face] kya karoom??? [thinks for a while]
