No offense to people who don't like Rishi anymoree but I feel that one of the main things that this show is trying to show is that there is no love that Rishi has had that is more deep or even as deep as what he has w/Indira. Sameer said that he used to steal his girlfriends. Regarding this quote by Sameer, I don't know exactly how true this is but maybe Rishi had at least a few romantic relationships before he met Indira that he didn't take too seriously & he never gave Sweta pretty much enough of anything, especially in terms of romantic love & on top of everything he ended up romancing Zara while he was w/her. W/Zara, he could have paid more amount of attention to her needs post them gettin' married but I feel, before he found out Zara is negative, he got a bit too carried away with takin' care of Indira. Taking care of Indira- he has never neglected doing on the show. He left his family & luxuries so he could be with her & has fought everyone for her. At the end of the day, he has loved & sacrificed the most for Indira- he has done more of these two things for her than any other woman in his life! I feel he felt conflicted after marrying Zara at Manav & Archana's place. Before he married Zara for a 2nd time there, he felt quite confident about Zara being his love & Indira being his responsibility but post this marriage he seemed conflicted like him saying that quote to her- her being his love & Indira his responsibility- this quote didn't end up being completely true & that he shouldn't have said this pre his 2nd marriage to Zara.
