In many Indian serials, including those of Balaji, we have seen mothers routinely bequeath their off-springs to others, as if donating cast-offs to the poor and needy. And, Purvi the resident saint, not satisfied with sacrifying her beau at the altar of love for the happiness of her mother Archana, is all set to outdo her previous balidan, and give her flesh and blood to her so-called sister-who has done nothing but ruin her life, ever since she discovered her child hood obsession loves Purvi and not her. Wonder why?
I fail to grasp how any mother can give her child up willingly when there is no pressing need, as is the case here and that too, to a person like Ovi, the self-centred brat who neglects herself during pregnancy and drinks like a fish because she can't cope with the ghosts of her husband's past. I am sorry but no caring mother would readily giver her child away to a pampered immature waste of space like Ovi. Is it really SO EASY to give away a child?
If the child has to be given away, give it to a regular loving family, avoiding a life-time of butchery courtesy of the Deshmucks and co, and saving it from the curse of narcissism that runs in Ovi's veins and from the wrath of saintliness that runs through Purvi maya.
