"yeh aap kya keh rahi hai?"

Finally zoya turned to look at asad. Asad was very angry and zoya could see it.

"mr. khan. Don't I know you? Mujhe achi tarah se pata hai ki aapka ghusa kitna dangerous hai. Aapko toh kabhi bhi apni galti toh nazar hi nahi aati."

Asad looked down angrily in order to control himself from going and shaking some sense into her.

Ayaan could no longer bear this. He walked in between asad and zoya facing her.

Ayaan: aap nahi janti ki waha kya hua tha. Mere bhaijaan uss galti ke liye mafi kyun mange jo unhone ki hi nahi. Bhai ne inki insult ki hi nahi thi.

Zoya smiled. This was just what she wanted. Someone to defend asad so that she could put her plan in action. No one but ayaan noticed the small smile on her lips as he was closest to her staring directly into her face. He was confused as to her reaction but suddenly he felt like she was not against his brother. In fact he felt like trusting her with this. Zoya saw the confusion on his face and winked at him confirming his doubts. Ayaan saw this and made a decision to follow his heart and play along.

Zoya: toh phir kya mr inspector jhoot bol rahe hai?

Ayaan looked at her baffled. He knew he had to play along but how?

Zoya's eyes widened at the realization that ayaan had no clue as to how to proceed. She quickly thought of something.

Zoya: ye toh in logon ki sharafat hai, badappan hai ki ye sirf mafi mangne ko keh rahe hai. Koi aur hota toh mr khan par case kar deta.

Now ayaan realised what he had to say.

Ayaan: toh kisne roka hai? Kar de ye case. Bhai ki galti nahi thi ye yeh log bhi jante hai issiliye case nahi kiyi.

Asad looked up at ayaan with affection. He could see that ayaan was defending him but was completely unaware that it was zoya who was actually leading the whole charade. To him like everyone zoya was trying to put him down.

Zoya: accha. Toh thik hai.

She turned around to face firoz.

Zoya: mr inspector aap toh ab mr khan par case kar hi dijiye for insulting an on duty government official.

Asad had a triumphant smile as he looked directly at firoz past ayaan and zoya. Even he knew that what zoya was proposing was of no consequence to himself. If firoz did file a complaint he would have to give the record as to why he had arrested ayaan when there was no case filed. Firoz cowered.

Firoz: arey nahi nahi. Itna sab karne ki kya zarurat hai?

Zoya: kaise zarurat nahi? Agar ab aap case karne se inkaar karte hai then sab ko lagega ki galti appki thi.

Ayaan smirked at haseena bi. Now the whole game of hers was on her. Haseena was frustrated. She was cunning and it didn't take her a minute to understand that this girl in jeans was playing her brother into confessing his mistake.

Haseena: bas! Yeh kaisa tarika hai apne beti ke sasural walon ke saath pesh anne ka? Hum case nahi karna chahte hai bas asad ahmed khan ki mafi chahte hai.

"bhai jaan mafi nahi mangenge!"

Everyone turned around to see nikhat dressed in purple who had just entered with shereen, nuzat and humeira.

Haseena was shocked. She had never expected nikhat out of all people to speak up.

Haseena: kyun nahi mangenge? Tumhare bhaijaan ne mere bhai ki tohin ki hai.

Nikhat: apkee bhai ki izzat izzat hai aur mere bhaijaan ki nahi? Mujhe pura bharosa hai apne asad bhaijaan par. Vo kabhi bhi galat nahi ho sakte. Aur agar ayaan bhaijaan keh rahe hai ki galti asad bhaijaan ne ki hi nahi to koi bhi unhe mafi mangne ke liye nahi keh sakta. Aap bhi nahi. Agar iski vajah se yeh sagai tutathi hai aur mujhe zindagi bhar kuwara bhi baitna pade toh mujhe manzur hai.

Asad: nikhat. Aisa nahi kehte.

Nikhat had walked to asad as she said this and asad patted her head affectionately.

Nikhat held his hand and said, "bhaijaan agar meir khushiyon ke liye aap ko kisi ke samne jhukna padta hai toh mujhe nahi chahiye aisi khushiya."

Ayaan had tears in his eyes. zoya could not stop smiling. Nuzat hugged shereen as humeira held shereen's arm. Najima smiled and hugged dilshad sideways. Dilshad looked up and caught rashid's eyes. Rashid painfully smiled at her. Razia saw this and fuming signalled her husband with her eyes to look at Rashid. Mamu looked glared at Rashid which did not escape dadi's notice.

Asad was free now. Now he could finally defend himself and he very well defended himself. He made it very clear why he had to come to the police station that day. And at last haseena had to pretend that firoz had not told her the whole truth. And so she acted like she was very disappointed in her brother.

The entire engagement ceremony passed with not a single more obstacle. Asad saw zoya walk up and he excused himself and followed her up. Zoya was about to enter her room when asad caught hold of the door handle and pulled it close right on zoya's face. Zoya was startled and looked up at his face which was inches away from her.

"mr khan aap'aap ye kya kar rahe'?"

"maine kaha tha aapse! Kaha tha niche mat aana. Par aap ko meri kahi baat pehli baar mein hi samajh aye toh aap zoya nahi."

"listen to me mr khan main'"

But she jumped out of her skin when asad slammed his hand on the door sending the door open with a start.

Zoya closed her eyes in fear which suddenly made asad realize that he was scaring her. He closed his eyes and walked away. When zoya opened her eyes asad wasn't there. She walked into the room and was about to close the door when she felt someone push the door slightly on the otherside. Dreading she opened the door expecting asad but saw nikhat standing in front of her.

Asad was descending the stairs in a hurry when he banged into ayaan.

Ayaan: bhai. Aap itni jaldio mein kaha jaa rahe hai?

Asad: kahi nahi. Par tum upar kaha jaa rahe ho?

"wo bhai main toh mohotarma zoya ka shukriya ada karne jaa raha hoon."

This made asad look at ayaan totally at loss for words. He couldn't comprehend why ayaan would want to thank zoya after what she had done.

Okay so I know not a very big update but for now make do with this. I did not write the entire asad haseena bi scene because seriously it is a big torture to write her scenes so I just gave a brief description of it. Keep reading and Tell me how it was. Love you guys❤️😃
