Prithvi and RGV are unpacking at Prithvi's new residence. Prithvi asks RGV why Sanju doesn't talk to boys often- RGV jokes about it. They then go with Sahil and Rohan to the shop to buy food. Prithvi calls his mother, even as the actor playing Varun enters and tampers with Prithvi's bike, and then knocks Prithvi aside, knocking the phone off his hand. He steps in and buys a knife, that looks exactly like the Mystery Man's knife - dangerous, and different - a weapon - from (try to figure this out too) a supermarket! Prithvi gets a hint that this is Varun, and both approach someone seen only from behind, wearing the same clothes - while the actor playing Varun may have got a message from Prof Anu, in disguise at the same supermarket.

Note the feeble attempts at censorship- I caught Vodafone, Gokul milk and Snickers.

EDIT: Varun's character seems to be following this one's. Both of them may have faked their deaths, and are secretly plotting revenge (or a trap) with their sisters.

Daljeet may be wearing mask and makeup to pretend to be Varun.

That 'Varun was saved by locals' bit is really hard to figure out. Daljeet, on the other hand, was trying his bit in plotting against the BFFs, and was clearly aware of the state of mind of each of them. In fact, Daljeet knows everything Varun had said, except for the 'locals' bit. Anu, as Sanju said, can twist evidence to suit or harm anybody, so there's a chance that she fed/implanted Varun's memories into Daljeet. Besides, as Varun's presence can be significant, seeing him walk around so openly is weird- he'd get mobbed if seen, and his prank would be opened up. Besides, Varun was largely a prankster, but here, he seemed rather malevolent, like Daljeet.

i still dont think it is daljeet...tht is not so convincing...cus lukk at the body frame ...daljeet and varun are really diiferent...!!!

Let's just put these characters in line and see what binds them. We have Varun, Anu Shukla and Daljeet, and the captured Tattoo Man- and also Prithvi.

Varun- One of the BFFs, but a later member of the group. Went missing after a prank went wrong. Supposedly rescued by locals and in coma for months. Supposedly brother of Prof Anu Shukla. Now seen buying a knife at a supermarket, tampering with Prithvi's bike and scaring Ella. May be the cause of a rift between Ella and Vinnie. Has not met Tattoo Man. Appeared as a ghost whenever Daljeet was nearby.

Anu Shukla- First heard bossing the policemen of that small town. Heard from 'locals' that Varun was rescued. She said that she came back rushing from the US when she heard of Varun's condition and joined the college as a Professor to tackle the BFFs. She offered Sanju a cup of coffee with a fortune cookie with the Dark Side of the Sun message- which was then written on the board. Seems to have a hint about their involvement and can spot evidence. She asked for an unsolved case to work on, and when the class wanted the Varun missing case, she went ahead with it. Flirted with Prof Rigved often. She even reconstructed her version of the incident, and has been identified as someone who can twist evidence. Last seen in a supermarket, where Varun was walking around. Has not met Tattoo Man.

Daljeet- Formerly a sports supervisor, expelled for getting too intimate with Ella, and has been thirsting for revenge. He was briefed about Tattoo Man's capture, and then said, one down, three to go, at a poster of the BFFs with a cross on Varun. He was brought back by Prof Rigved as a health club manager, and vowed to split the BFFs. May also have made the threatening phone call. Also seen hiding in a washroom, overhearing the BFFs and briefing someone about it- likely Anu/Varun.

Mystery Man 1 (a.k.a. Tattoo Man, Man-ape, animal man, skinhead)- Much has been spoken of this largely faceless, tattooed mystery man, who invaded Varun's house, Westwood College, a photo studio, a car park (from where he stole a car intended for Sanju), Sanju's house, a nightclub where Ella stood and then Vinnie's house. Got caught when the BFFs alerted the police. Could not speak. His capture was conveyed to Daljeet, and he had never met Anu and Varun. Left behind a mask similar to the one found when Varun went missing, and carried a weird Mission Impossible knife.

Prithvi- Suspected to be the supplier of the mystery fortune cookie that came to Sanju. Saw Sanju leave after trespassing Varun's house, after Tattoo Man left. Was recorded in a trap CCTV with Sanju, likely set up by the same stalker. Completed a shayari that came as a clue to Sanju, which had a connection with Varun- and much later, spoke another shayari that may also be. When asked for an unsolved case as an assignment for class, he brought up the Varun Mittal case. Repeatedly taunted the BFFs, especially Sanju, about their involvement. Does not know about Daljeet. Often ended up in the same spot as Tattoo Man.
