Chapter 6: Wide Awake

Sharon's house was filled with laughter as the girls were in their pajamas gossiping about everything.

"So Aashi come on tell us about you and Rohan. It was sudden when you guys started going out." Simi said taking a sip of her mango smoothie.

"To be honest, he asked me sweetly and I couldn't refuse. I don't think I'm in love with him, but I do have feelings for him." Aashi said with a small blush grazing her cheeks.

"Toh phir yeh relationship kyun?" Simi urged on.

"He was a good friend of mine, and I guess even if I'm not in love with him, I have some sort of additional feelings for him." Aashi said. "Let's change to subject to Rey and Taani." She said.

"Ohhh, Rey and Taani, Taani and Rey, TaaRey our favorite topic." Neha said grinning as Taani hid her face in her pillow.

The boys were all at Swayam's house pacing back and forth.

"How can they have a girls night and not invite us!" Vicky said.

"Haan yaar especially after we just had confessions, we literally just poured our hearts out. What more can the girls have to say to each other?" Nil said.

"Girls, they always have more to say." Rey said shaking his head.

"Where's Bharat?" Swayam asked randomly.

"He had to go to the garage to finish up on something." Amar said as they still were wondering what to do.

"We could just sneak in." Swayam offered as a joke, laughing as he said it.

The other guys looked at each other and grinned, "Swayam good idea." Rey said patting his shoulder.

"What, guys no I was kidding. Sharon will kill us." Swayam said.

"Which is why you are going to distract your siren as we go in." Rey smirked. "C'mon." He said as they left to Sharon's house.

"So Taani come on kuch to hua hai tum dono ki beech mein." Sharon said.

"Acha thik hai don't tell us what happened, but tell us what you think of Rey." Simi said taking pity on the poor girl who was looking embarrassed.

"I like him." Taani said quickly biting her lip.

"Ah, we knew it!" Rini said getting up and hugging Taani.

Taani laughed at their reaction and said, "I have for a while, since the beginning but we're always fighting and I don't know." Taani said.

"Like I said before Taani, you guys fight because you want the other to be part of the most important parts of your life. Trust me the feeling is mutual in both of you." Aashi said.

"Exactly, I know Rey the best. I especially know when he's fallen for someone." Sharon said.

"I'm gonna go get us our coffee." Taani said getting up blushing.

"Aw, she's blushing!" Neha, Rini, and Simi said laughing as Taani went to the kitchen thinking about her feelings for Rey.

"Ab kya kare?" The boys said staring through Sharon's big window trying to find the girls.

"Swayam you call Sharon outside and distract her while the boys go in. If Sharon sees me here she'll know we're upto something. I'll go see if the kitchen window is open and I'll try and get in from there." Rey said.

"Abey Rey, if the window is not open then?" Swayam said feeling nervous.

"Then one of you can open it for me." Rey said before going and hiding behind the door with the rest of the boys.

Sharon came out and the boys saw her behaving as she generally did with Swayam. "Poor Swayam." Nil said laughing.

"Guys go in now." Rey said as they went in. Rey looked at the back and saw the kitchen window open.

He smelt coffee and he walked towards the window and his heart almost stopped at the sight in front of him. Taani, his Taani was standing there brewing coffee in her cute pajamas. He watched in awe as she smiled while brewing her coffee. He saw how the wind from the window kept blowing her bangs in her face. Without noticing it his feet moved without his permission as he climbed through the window. Taani's back was turned towards him so she didn't see him come towards him. It wasn't until Taani turned around that Rey realized that he was inside.

"Aap?" Taani said not sure that she was truly seeing him.

"I, yeah." Rey stammered not knowing what to say.

"Taani you've completely lost it. Just because you kissed him doesn't mean that you should dream about him now." Taani said placing her hand on her forehead. She turned around and went back to brewing the coffee.

Rey stood there with a smile on his face. He started chuckling and he saw Taani freeze. She slowly turned around and took a step towards him. With an amused face Rey stood there with his arms crossed across his chest. Moving her hand towards his face Taani poked his cheek and then widened her eyes.

"Oh my god." Taani said trying to take a step back but failing as she tripped over her foot.

"Taani sh!" Rey said covering her mouth with his hand while his arm snaked around her waist steadying her from falling.

"What are you doing here?" Taani whispered at him. She looked out the kitchen door and saw that no one was coming, "What if someone sees you." She asked.

"All of us are here." Rey said, "The boys are in the living room Swayam is outside with Sharon. You look beautiful." Rey said lost in Taani's eyes.

Taani's blush adorned her face as she felt herself being drawn into Rey's eyes. "Waise if it makes you feel better, I can't stop thinking about the kiss either." Rey said smiling softly.

"What do we do now?" Taani asked innocently making Rey smile again.

"Pata nahi," Rey said, "But I don't think I can stop kissing you." He said truthfully as he glanced towards her lips.

"I don't think I want to stop you." Taani whispered as Rey's lips were a few millimeters away from hers. Rey leaned forward as Taani's eyes closed when Nil yelled, "Rey, Swayam come out!" snapping Taani and Rey out of their trance.

Taani blushed as she realized what was about to happen, and her blush deepened as she realized that she wanted it to happen.

Rey looked at Taani and smiled at the fact that she didn't run off again. "We should go." He said slightly blushing himself. Holding her hand lightly he walked with Taani next to him liking the fact that he was holding her hand. When they reached Sharon's living room they let their hands go and joined the gang.

After two hours of laughing and joking around everyone decided to leave so that they could get ready to go to Taani's voice off tomorrow. Rey was quiet on the drive back home thinking about his feelings for Taani. He couldn't understand what was happening to him. He had never felt this way before about any girl. He knew that Nil and the others saw that he liked Taani and deep down he felt like maybe Taani liked him too, but all their fights and misunderstandings had stopped him from thinking about his feelings, until now. Now that everything was clear he wasn't sure what he felt. But he knew one thing for sure, this girl was definitely driving him insane.

The next morning the entire gang was ready at the voice off assisting Taani and making sure she was ready.

"Where are Rohan and Anya and the rest of my musicians?" Taani started to panic when she couldn't find them.

The girls were talking until Simi stopped and gasped at what she saw in front of her.

"What the hell?" Taani said scared to even see Aashi's reaction.

The boys were right behind them and they stopped when they saw what the girls were looking at, Rohan and Anya kissing each other.

"Rohan." Aashi said not believing what was happening.

Rohan and Anya pulled apart shocked, but then smirked at the group.

"Oh look they found out." Anya said sarcastically. "Sorry Aashi, he really isn't into you."

"Aashi, I." Rohan started to say but he couldn't form any words. "You have a gang of your own and even Taani was in it. So we decided to back out of St. Louis and join St. Teresa. Today is the voice off and we've already prepared with the other group." He said. Aashi walking up to him slapped him across the face.

"How dare you?" She asked feeling betrayed for herself and for Taani. "What were you planning on doing with Taani then? How will she perform?" Aashi asked disgusted in him.

"Taani gave more time to you guys then to us, so we don't care how she performs. You wouldn't even have known unless we told you, she would have found out last minute. Oh wait, I guess this is last minute." Anya said. "Oh and Taani sweety, it was me who leaked your dancing video, oops." She said smirking.

Rey gritted his teeth in anger as he grabbed Rohan's shirt. "Rey no!" Taani said pulling him back, "He's not worth it." Taani said wrapping her arm around Rey's pulling him back.

Not being able to take it Sharon went in front of Aashi and stood in front of Anya. "I would like to slap you so hard right now. But unlike you I have some class. Aashi doesn't need Rohan, in fact she told us herself that she wasn't in love with him yet, he asked her sweetly so she agreed. Feelings were there, but it wasn't love, so my dear Anya don't think you were even able to break her a little."

"As for me, I don't need traitors on my team of singers. You can go, I will be just fine without you." Taani smirked at them as they both left.

"Wait Rohan, just so you know I will never forgive you for this." Aashi said as Rohan gave the gang a last glare.

Aashi took a deep breath and controlled her tears. "Aashi tum," Taani started to say but Aashi shook her head.

"Right now we have to worry about you getting singers, what are you going to do?" Aashi asked her.

"I have an idea." Taani said watching her ex-team perform for their rival college. "I'm going out there, you guys stay here everything will be okay." She said. She took a look at Rey, the guy who always supported her, the guy who was the only one who understood her and she walked out knowing that she'd be okay with their support.

Taani walked out onto stage and took a deep breath in, "Krishnaji, please meri madat karna."

Rey watched as Rohan and Anya left the stage with their new group and his hand automatically formed a fist. "Not now Rey." Sharon said holding him back. "Let's go, we're gonna have to take our seats." Sharon said but no one could move from backstage as they all focused on what their friend was going to do.

"What is this? Isn't this supposed to be a musical group from St. Louis college?" the judge questioned Taani as she walked onto stage alone.

"Maybe I should go talk to the judges." Rey said but the gang held him back.

"No we shouldn't, let Taani deal with this. It's her experience, it's her choice, you have to let her decide what to do." Aashi said knowing that her best friend wouldn't want someone else to fight her battle for her.

"I know sir, and I wish I could tell you that I have a band of musicians ready for you. But," Taani sighed as she spoke, "As of right now I don't. This competition is about your voice, not about just instrumental music. I am asking for the chance to prove that my voice is good enough for a chance to get into the competition and get time to form a new band of my own." Taani said confidently on stage.

"They have to agree." Swayam said worrying for his sister and her dreams.

"Yeh saach hai that this competition is a group competition. But we are willing to give you a chance to prove that your voice alone is a good enough reason to get you in and give you time to form a band." The woman judge said making everyone take a breath of relief.

"Don't get too excited, she won't be able to stand alone. Who will want to listen to a voice without music?" Rohan said with a smirk.

"You don't know Taani then." Aashi glared back.

"We have to do something." Rini said looking at Taani about to start. Aashi looked at Rini and a light bulb went off in her head as Taani started singing.

"Wow," Nil said appreciating Taani's voice again.

"Aashi? What's your plan?" Neha said recognizing the look as Aashi started looking around.

Aashi found Rohan's mike in his hand and took it, "Thanks you probably will get this back with all of your shit that you've given me." Sharon who understood what Aashi was trying to say grabbed a mike of her own.

Taani stood on stage and took a deep breath in, this was it the one chance she had to prove she could do it. She thought about her friends ditching her, she thought about her dad who did not support her decision who sat in the audience right now, she thought about everyone who had put her down and then smiled.

Bringing the mike towards her lips she started in a powerful voice.

"I'm wide awake, I'm wide awake, I'm wide awake

Yeah I was in the dark, I was falling hard, with an open heart.

I'm wide awake, how did I read the stars so wrong."

Taani thought back to all the times that she believed that Anya and Rohan had her back.

"I'm wide awake, and now it's clear to me that everything you see aint always what it seems

I'm wide awake, yeah I was dreaming for so long"

Taani thought about the times she was disappointed by her father. She thought about her talk with Nisha and Sheila.

Suddenly Taani wasn't the only one singing, someone else's voice joined in harmony behind her.

I'm letting go tonight yeah I'm falling from cloud nine

Taani smiled seeing Aashi, knowing that her best friend was hurting from the deceit she faced today.

"I'm wide awake" Sharon sang with Aashi next into the mike making Taani's smile widen. Taani thought about the great people she had in her life. Even though Rohan and Anya were no longer part of her life, she had her girlfriends, she had her gang. She had her true friends that were willing to do anything for her.

Taani started singing as Aashi and Sharon harmonized on the words in the song, emphasizing and adding an extra harmony to the words Taani sang by singing to stress certain words. Taani sang as Aashi and Sharon harmonized "I'm wide awake," to go with her continuations of the song.

"I'm wide awake," Aashi and Sharon sang as Taani continued with more encouragement than she had before, "God knows that I tried, seeing the bright side."

"I'm wide awake" The two girls sang again as Taani continued stronger than ever, "I'm not blind anymore."

As their singing continued everyone in the audience was in silence, in awe at the beauty that was occurring on stage.

Getting towards the end of the song Taani sang, "I'm wide awake, I'm wide awake." And paused for two seconds.

Simi, Rini, and Neha decided to take their own mikes and help Taani's song even more and come out on stage.

"Yeah I'm falling from cloud nine," Taani sang as all the girls added their voices in as a harmonious melody, "It was out of the blue," Aashi and Sharon sang as the other three girls continued their melody.

"Crashing from the high, you know I'm letting go tonight," Taani sang as Aashi and Sharon aided, "You know I'm letting you go," while the three other girls never left their melody.

"I'm falling from cloud nine," Taani sang as her heart was overwhelmed from the amount of background music she was gaining from the girls' decision to acapella her song. Taani kept singing as the girls' aided their voices in a melody to her singing, "I'm wide awake, I'm wide awake, I'm wide awake, I'm wide awake." She ended.

There was a moment of silence before the audience started clapping and the judges smiled appreciatively.

"Taani you said that you didn't have a group ready." One of the judges said.

"Yes ma'am they aren't my team, they are my friends." Taani said smilling.

"Sorry ma'am, sir but we couldn't let her go alone when her team decided to leave last minute." Sharon said explaining what happened.

"Taani we think your voice is incredible and for your team, the one that left that is disgusting and you proved that you have friends, real friends who were willing to come out and help you today. Whatever you do in life, wherever you reach always remember these friends who came out today, last minute to help you." The judge said.

Taani smiled and said, "No matter what, I will always appreciate them in my life."

"Taani you have one month to get a team ready for the finals. You have been selected." The judges said making the girls jump up and squeal.

"Thank you ma'am thank you sir." Taani said smiling exiting the stage.

Coming out of the stage they saw Rohan and Anya's annoyed face, "Game on." Taani said as she passed them and walked towards the boys who were cheering for them. She hugged each of them as they watched the last performance.

Aashi was the first to notice a guy standing there looking upset. "Hey are you okay?" Aashi asked him.

"My team just fired me, my girlfriend was cheating on me with her band mate, and I'm transferring to a college where no one will probably want me on their team." The guy said bitterly, "I'm doing just fine."

"Hey guys woh dekho," Taani said watching Aashi and the guy they didn't know talk.

"Well I don't know about the transferring and the team but I just found out right now a few minutes ago that my boyfriend was cheating on me with a girl that I hated. And now she gets to rub it in my face." Aashi said.

The boy looked at her weirdly and stook out his hand, "Sid." He introduced himself. Aashi shook his hand and said, "Aashi."

"That's my gang over there, we're a bunch of dancers/singers/other talents." Aashi said. "We just started getting along fully." She laughed.

"Reyaansh Singhania, from St. Louis." Sid said noticing him. "That is where I am transferring too, my dance team let me go because I didn't want to join them in stealing another team's routine." He said.

"Oh yeah you are part of St. Teresa, you are an amazing dancer I've seen your hip hop." Rey said as they all introduced each other. "Well we'll see you in school when you come, make sure you find us at our rehearsal hall." They said before leaving.

The next day at school the gang was sitting at rehearsal hall as Taani stood in the music room with her wall opened. She looked at all the instruments and took a breath in. There was nothing she could do now, her team was gone.

"We should do something." Simi said feeling bad for Taani.

"We only lost a dancer, she lost her entire team." Rini said.

"I think I have an idea." Nil said.

"What?" they asked him as he explained his plan to them.

"Nil are you sure about this?" Swayam asked wondering if Taani would agree to it.

"Think about it Swayam all of us are ready for it, and this way we can help her too." Nil said.

"Alright." Rey said agreeing.

"Hey Taani come here." Nil said grabbing Taani's attention.

"Haan." She said coming.

"We have a proposition for you." Nil said grinning. "If you become our dancer in Anya's place, we can give you a ready made band." Nil said.

"What? Who?" Taani asked not believing him.

"Vicky and I are beat box masters. Rey and I are singers, Rey even plays the guitar. Aashi is a singer. If we ever need it; Simi, Rini, and Neha can harmonize in perfect sync you've seen that. You don't even need instruments because you are a computer whiz, you can play the instrumental and put the mix together. And we can always find people who are instrumentally talented throughout the college." Nil said. "Aashi, Rey, Vicky, and I can be your team of singers. Swayam also plays the piano he could also help."

"I don't mean to make this worse, but Nil I'm not a professional singer. Singing backup and singing along with a person is different." Aashi said.

"I am." A voice came from the door. They all turned to find Sid standing there. "I know I'm a dancer, but throughout high school I was part of an acapella group. I want in." Sid said.

"Look guys, I will be your dancer, but for my singers, I need people who know what they are doing." Taani said not to sure about using her friends as her dancers.

"We can do it, trust us." Rey said.

"But Rey to do our audition dances and our singing in one month?" Taani shrugged not thinking it was possible.

"We can do it, trust us and let us help you." Rey said.

"Alright." Taani said defeated with a smile. "Oh my god are you okay?" Taani's smile vanished when she saw Bharat enter the room on crutches.

"Bharat dude what happened?" Swayam asked him.

"Cleaning the garage," Bharat said as he sat down on a chair, "And there was spilt oil so," it didn't take the gang long to figure out what happened.

"What we going to do now? Auditions are two weeks away, and I was supposed to dance with Aashi." Bharat said feeling guilty that the group would be missing another dancer. "Sorry Aashi, you're going to have to change everything because of me." Bharat also said knowing that it'd be difficult for Aashi to find yet another dance partner.

"No yaar Bharat it's okay. You just chill out and don't stress your leg out." Rey said as the gang wondered what they were going to do.

Taani looked at the gang and saw Sid and Aashi standing together. "You okay?" Sid asked Aashi as she nodded and asked him back. Taani saw them interacting and smiled. Looking at both of them intently she saw something and said, "Sid, looks like you're going to be joining a new dancing team after all."

"What?" the gang said. Rey looked over at Sid and Aashi and then at Taani and smiled realizing what she was doing.

"It's a good idea, Sid is a dancer and Aashi needs a partner." Taani said.

"And what better way for them to prove that they are not broken then performing at the auditions in front of them." Rey said emphasizing them. "Besides Taani and I are already doing a dance, and we need one more couple from our group to perform and the rest of you have exams that week." Rey added.

"I don't know I mean Sid would you want to?" Aashi asked him not wanting anything to be forced on him.

"Yes! I'm back in the game!" Sid cheered excitedly. "And I think I have an idea for our dance." Sid said grinning.

"Should we be worried that he has an evil genius look right now?" Rey said to Taani. When he didn't get a response he looked over and was bewildered by the same look that she had. "Why am I not surprised, Taani it seems you have gotten yourself another partner in crime."

"Dancers." Ram said coming into the rehearsal hall not knowing that they knew about his plan. "Your AVP has sent me to check if you need any help with choreography or routines."

Swayam wanted to burst and yell and kick him out of his sister's life for once and for all, but he knew he couldn't let him get under his skin. "No thanks, we have class." Swayam said dismissing Ram. Ram smiled at them and took a glance at Taani and left.

"Alright guys we need to get to class and Taani and Rey it's your turn for rehearsal." Swayam said realizing it was 11 already.

"Yeah dude let's go." Everyone started to leave.

"Hey wait Swayam I have to ask you something." Rey said, "I'll be right back you get ready." Rey said to Taani before running after Swayam.

"Wait, nevermind." Taani said as she saw Rey run after Swayam.

"Haan Rey kya hua?" Swayam said as he saw Rey fidgeting.

"Swayam, promise you won't get mad?" Rey asked as they were alone in the hallway.

"Yeah, but what happened?" Swayam asked looking amused at how Rey was acting.

"I want to take Taani out on a date. And before you say anything I want you to know that I like her, I like her a lot. And I know she's your sister which is why I'm asking you first. Only if you're okay with it I'll go." Rey said fast as he kept interrupting Swayam when he wanted to talk.

Swayam looked at him for a minute before he burst out into laughter. Rey looked at Swayam confused and said, "Yaar I'm literally dying of nerves here pouring my heart out to you and you're laughing!"

"Sorry," Swayam said doubling over in laughter, "But damn I owe Amar 20 bucks, we made a bet in how long it would take for you to come to me."

"You knew?" Rey asked him.

"Not initially," Swayam said, "It wasn't until yesterday when I put the pieces together. Dude, I'm okay with it. Just don't hurt her and please no mushy stuff in front of me." Swayam said patting Rey's shoulder.

"I won't." Rey grinned knowing that he was going to have way to much fun messing with Swayam.

"The real question is how are you going to ask her?" Swayam said grinning knowing that his sister was a piece of work.

"I guess I'll have to see. "Rey said grinning, "Bye man, thanks." He said before running back to rehearsal hall.

When Rey got there Taani was already warming up. He recognized the song that was on and admired Taani lightly dancing to it.

"Good you're here, now we only have one month and we have a lot to get done. Song, what type of dancing, our theme, everything." Taani started talking.

"Taani chill." Rey said putting his hands on her shoulders. "We already have our theme. We are going to show our Dad's that we don't need them, and even though they have always brought us down we're still here. As for the song, I think I have an idea." Rey said putting the song he thought would work. He looked at Taani and noticed that she was visibly tense.

"Taani are you okay?" He asked her breaking her out of the thoughts she was having.

"Hm, yeah." She said fidgeting with her hands. Rey took her hands in his and smiled at her.

"It's okay to be nervous, I know you haven't competitively danced for a long time."Rey said, "Why don't we do something that'll help your nerves."

"Like what?" Taani asked looking up at him. Rey just grinned as he put on a fun song.

"Dance like crazy! Just jump up and down, whip your hair, just go crazy." Rey said as he started bouncing side to side.

"What?" Taani said laughing at Rey, "What are you doing? No way, I'm not doing that." She said laughing even more as Rey looked at her and started dancing badly while walking towards her. Taani laughed and shook her head as he looked at her expectantly. Taani laughed as she joined him in jumping up and down and laughing with him.

Soon Rey grabbed her hands and spun her around while they danced together. Spinning her around again Rey pulled Taani into him. Taani looked up in Rey's eyes as the song continued and as they both kept staring into each other's eyes. Rey glanced towards Taani's lips and leaned closer. It wasn't until the song changed that they broke out of the spell they were in.

"Thanks." Taani said breaking apart, actually feeling better. She touched her hands to her cheeks to stop the blush. Rey put the song that they were going to use for the dance off auditions. "What do you think of this song?" he asked.

"Wow," Taani said already liking the song, "Contemporary." She nodded in agreement. With that they got started. Listening to the song they chose they both started making steps.

"It has to be somewhat aggressive." Rey said after an hour of rehearsals. "But Taani you need to be less aggressive because in our act you are the "good" and I have to be the "bad"." He said.

"Yeah, and we also have to put in a fight, to show the friction between the two people. We have to show how we've fought against them in order to follow our hearts." Taani said as she stretched her leg up. Unable to steady herself she wobbled down. "Why can't I get this step?" she groaned as she picked up her water bottle.

"Alright come here." Rey said as Taani came over. "Now bend back." Rey said as he supported her back with one hand. "Now lift your leg and point." He said as Taani followed what he said. Rey held her leg up helping her steady into her position.

Taani tried to concentrate on the step, but with Rey so close to her she couldn't. Feeling his arm on her back and his hand on her leg made Taani short of breath. But the amount of effort Rey was putting in, the amount of faith he was showing in her made her continue. Rey let go gently and watched as Taani stood in place without wobbling. "There you go." He said grinning.

"Yes!" Taani said running and hugging Rey tightly. Both of them smiled into the hug. When Taani pulled away Rey found his chance to ask, "Taani will you go out with me tonight?" he asked her.

Taani froze and said, "Like a date?"

"Yeah, I mean if you want to. If you don't want to." Rey started to say but Taani cut him off. "Yes."

"Really?" Rey asked with a loopy smile.

"Yeah." Taani said blushing. "Now let's redo the 15 seconds of choreography that we set." Taani said.

They played the music and Taani ran towards Rey as they started their dance not knowing that Aashi and Sid had come for their rehearsal time.

"Wow," Aashi said watching the both of them. She knew that her friend was an amazing dancer, but this was beyond her expectations.

"We are so going to win." Sid said watching them.

Rey and Taani stopped where they had left and Taani said, "Rey no smiling! You have to be the epitome of evil in this act. You always should have the look of the devil on, a smirk maybe and dead eyes."

"Got it." Rey smiled. He knew that he shouldn't be smiling, but ever since Taani said yes he couldn't help it.

"Guys that was amazing." Aashi said coming in.

"Oh crap an hour already passed?" Taani said watching them come in. "We have class in 30 mintues."

Rey laughed and said, "Chill out Taani. So it was good? And what about the both of you what do are you going to do?"

"Well I was thinking lyrical hip hop." Sid said smiling.

"That's a really good idea, that way we can show that we are diverse." Rey said.

"But what are you going to show through your dance?" Taani asked.

"I was thinking, that since we both were cheated on, we can do a dance between a couple where the girl finds out about the cheating and gets through it. Kind of like a slap on their faces for cheating on us."Sid said.

"Sid I like the way you think." Taani said, "Alright we're going to go you guys go ahead and start." Taani said as she and Rey left the room.

"I'll pick you up at seven." Rey said with a smile on his face as they both walked down the hallway.

"Sure but it'll have to be after our rehearsals for the voice off." Taani said grinning. Stopping at the girls locker room Taani turned towards Rey and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Bye." She said as she ran in smiling.

After their class Taani and Rey met up with the gang as they went towards the rehearsal hall. Hearing the song Sid and Aashi chose Rey smiled, "Good choice." He said. They all walked to the door and froze at what they were seeing.

"Woah." Nil was the first to speak.

"Now that is chemistry." Sharon said. They watched Aashi's expressions as her face looked torn from sadness, they watched Sid's expressions as he tried through the song to win her back.

When they finished they stopped and smiled at each other. "We got this." They said as the gang came in.

"That was great!" Taani said walking in. "Sid you are an amazing dancer!" Taani said shocked at how well he performed.

Sid grinned and said, "It's a gift." Making the team laugh.

"All right so how about we chill out and get something to eat before our next class?" Nil said.

"Oh wait guys don't forget at 4 there is rehearsals in the music room." Taani said as they all walked out.
