Its Asad's birthday and Najma wants to surprise him and asks for Zoya's help. Happyish Birthday is a small story about the week leading up to Asad's birthday.
Part 1
Najma: Bhaijaan can you drop me to the mall?
Asad: Sure, I'm leaving for work now, are you ready?
Najma: Yh, I will just go and get my bag and tell Zoya.
Asad: Why Zoya?
Najma: She is taking me shopping, im so excited!
Asad: Really, usse kapre pehne ka saleka nahi hai aur tumhe shopping karaigi
Ami: Asad, please aab phir usse jagra maat karna.
Asad: Ami mein...acha teek hai
On route to the mall
Najma: Bhaijaan aap humein 3 o'clock pick up karna aur phir hum lunch pe chalte hein,acha?
Asad: Teen baje kyun, itni time mall mein kya karogi?
Zoya: Allah miyan what's wrong with you Mr Khan, we are going shopping so we will need time, now drive fast pls!
Asad: Yes, ma'am
Najma: Ok bhai jaan, mall is here, we are going, allah hafiz
As zoya walks out some guys walking past stop and stare, this infuriates Asad.
Asad: WAIT, I need to buy a few things so I will join you.
Zoya and Najma nervously exchange glances.
Asad: Is there a problem?
No, Nahin Zoya and Najma reply simultaneously

Part 2
It's been an hour and we have been roaming from shop to shop and bought nothing, I can't stand this! Urghh why did I even come with this mad person! And why did I get angry when some loafers were ogling Zoya. I shouldn't be bothered and I should stay away from her!
Zoya: Mr Khan, we are going to shop opposite because Phupi wants me and Najma to buy a nice shalwar suit.
Asad: Kyun?
Zoya: Kyun kya?
Asad: App ki modernity aap ko ijazat de gi shalwar suit pehne ki, Miss New Yorker?
Zoya: App ki tehzeeb aap ko kaise ijazat de thi hai itne tight jeans pehne ki?
Zoya walks of leaving Asad red faced.
Asad enters the shop and sees an exquisite suit and wishes to see Zoya in it. Lately weird thoughts have started to disturb him. He walks towards it and smiles to himself. Zoya bumps in to him.
Zoya: uffo Mr Khan app bhi na, kya dekh rahe hein, kisi Miss special ke liye?
Asad: haan, kyun koi problem?
Zoya stunned and confused replies seriously, app serious ho?
Asad: Haan, bilkul, mein kabhi fazool batein nahin karta
Zoya: acha
Asad: acha, Najma kahan hai?
Zoya: fitting room mein
Asad: ok, I will go and see her.
Sales Assistant: Ma'am, would you like to try this white dress, it is our latest design and would look really nice on you.
Zoya: Sure!
Asad and Najma were discussing about buying a suit for Ami when Zoya comes out of the fitting room wearing the same suit Asad saw. Asad thinks to himself wow she looks so pretty, my favourite colour, white really suits her, wow!
Zoya: how do I look?
Najma: wow this is really nice, it looks really good, is there another one? I want one!
Najma leaves to find another suit, leaving Zoya and Asad alone.
Zoya: Mr Khan, how do I look? (wishing he acknowledges that she tried the suit that Asad liked)
Asad: its ok, but you will need to get sleeves put on.
Zoya: OK!
Najma tries the same suit and decides to buy it.
Najma: Zoya, kya app ka suit bhi pack karun?
Zoya: nahi, mujhe itna pasad nahin hai
Asad: Kyun, abhi to app ko bohot acha lag rahta. Aap ki choice itni jaldi change hoti he?
Najma: Haan Zoya, tum ne suit pehna tha aur kitna pyara lag raha tha. Meri kabi behen nahi thi ke mein us jaise kapre pehnu, pls buy it and we can dress like sisters, pls pls
Zoya: hmm ok, sirf tum hare liye. Mein pay karti hoon.
Zoya walks past Asad and he stops her by holding her hand.

Asad: No, don't worry I will pay for both suits.
Zoya: No Mr Khan I can't let you pay.
Najma: its ok Zoya, let bhai jaan pay, we won't be able to buy anything else if you don't let him pay.
Zoya reluctantly agrees.
