There have been a lot of posts which have been questioning the Prithvi-Meera shaadi. Posts that are trying to get to the heart of the 20 yr old so-called 'secret' - the child marriage of Prithvi with Meera. The real twist would be unveiling of the reasons & circumstances that led to this shaadi. Why would a balanced, compassionate, just and educated man like daata thakur get his underaged daughter married to a "servant" kid???In my opinion this is the real secret - the real twist - the real dhamaka. And I am looking at only 2 possible scenarios -Scenario 1 - "identity swap!"Prithvi is the son of Raam Dhari and Sudha. Meera is not their child but has been brought up by them as their own.For some reason the first born child of Ram Dhari & Sudha, a son was assumed dead. Perhaps only Raam Dhari knew the child is alive and kept him safe and hidden elsewhere till he is brought to Baragaon a few years later. Here he grows up as am orphan but the benevolent daata thakur takes him under his wings.Meera is an orphan (or some friend's child) who has been loved and brought up by Ram Dhari & Sudha. Sudha's bond with the child is stronger after she has faced the alleged "loss" of her own first born. And there have been many instances and dialogues that point to this identity swap between Prithvi, the orphan & Meera, the beloved child of the Thakurs.Scenario 2 - Prithvi is some close friend's child whom Raam Dhaari promised to look after. And his family is somehow responsible for Prithvi's family loss. So in reality Prithvi is the child of this haveli, a thakur by birth. The concern that daata thakur showers on Prithvi is laced with a feeling of guilt - of not having done enough. The stealing looks he gives to Prithvi can only be of either a proud father or a man who feels he has wronged this young man and is desperate to make up for his loss. These are the only two possibilities as I see it; and am rooting for Scenario 1 as it offers opportunity to explore more complex relationships & layered characters. Here's hoping that a show that has the promise of a great plot, great story & characters and not to forget some extremely fine actors but which has failed to impress so far in its creative writing takes inspiration from the creativity of its viewers and transforms into a good show.
