PaYa OS: A Blast From The Past..!!

Aditya and Pankhuri had come to Kullu for a few days to stay with the Gupta's, this was the first time they had come as a couple after their marriage and they were welcomed very grandly.
Everyone settled down in the living area, with tea and snacks.
Ambika: Pankhuri do you know who is coming tomorrow?
Pankhuri: who mom?
Ambika: your best friend, the both of you were so naughty back then, remember how you used to make me run after you two with milk?
Adi looked on confused.
Pankhuri (excited) mom you mean HE is coming?
Adi head shot up, did Pankhuri just say HE, means her best friend since childhood is..is a GUY. He thought to himself, and I thought I was Pankhuri's first male best friend.
Dada ji: yes dear, he's coming tomorrow after six long years.
Diwakar: that's another reason we had invited you both.
Pankhuri: and what was the first reason?
Ambika: we were missing you
Pankhuri: awww mom, don't get all senti now, now come on you promised me some of my favourite dishes.
Ambika made her way to the kitchen to prepare lunch, whilst Pankhuri and Adi made their way upstairs to freshen up.
Adi: Pankhuri you never told me about this "friend" of yours..
Pankhuri: yeah, it's been a long time.. plus so much has happened ever since we met, and it didn't seem important then.
Adi: hmm (agreeing with her)
Pankhuri: do you know we were such good friends that we were known as SidPan
Adi (confused): SidPan?
Pankhuri: Sid meaning Sidhant and Pan coming from Pankhuri, its sweet right?
Adi (speechless): hmm
Pankhuri: but I call him monkey and he calls me butterfly, cite right?
Adi (speechless): hmm
Pankhuri went into the washroom to whilst Adi sat there thinking.
Adi (self talk): SidPan what kinda name is this? And monkey and butterfly? *puff* SidPan I mean it just sounds so funny..
Adi: Aditya Pankhuri=AdHuri----no no that means incomplete right, nah let's try something else.
Adi: Aditya Pankhuri= AdiPan---- heck no, that's too similar to SidPan *yuck*
After a lot of thinking, Adi was smiling to himself.
Adi: yes yes I got it, and it's perfect!!! Aditya Pankhuri= PaYa----we found each other, in other words like made for each other!!!! YESSS!!!!
The rest of the day, Pankhuri kept on talking about how they met and became the best of friends to Aditya, and she kept going on and on. Adi who had listened to her at the beginning started to get bored now, and he was not accepting it but he kinda feeling jealous, seeing Pankhuri talking about this Sid so much. But he could not say anything to her, as firstly she has come after so many days to her parents house, secondly she's meeting this Sid after six years and thirdly Adi loved seeing Pankhuri like this, happy and smiling.
The Next Day:
Everybody was making sure all the preps were done to welcome this Sid. All the family members were running from one end of the house to the other. Including Pankhuri, she has been so busy since morning that she has not given any time to Aditya.
He was walking around the house watching everyone make preps, Pankhuri was in the kitchen making Sid's favourite dishes.
Adi (self talk): so much preps are being done, just for this Sid, even we didn't get this much of a welcome and look here nobody is giving any importance to their damad
Pushkar: Sid is here.
Everyone ran to the door, leaving whatever they were doing, Pankhuri came running from the kitchen, and ran past Aditya. Adi was startled, he went after her and saw her running towards the guy that just came out of the car.
Pankhuri jumped and flew her arms around Sid's neck while he twirled her around. Adi clenched his fist, seeing their closeness.
Sid: hey butterfly get off me, do you have any idea how much you weigh?
Pankhuri: shut up monkey (and she wacked him one on the arm)
Sid greeted everyone, and then his eyes met Adi's.
Sid: and this must be the one and only Aditya Kumar.. right?
Sid extended his hand forward and Adi did the same.
Adi: right.
Sid: dude quick question, didn't you find anyone else other than my butterfly?
Adi: your butterfly? (he asked with a raised eye brow)
Sid: I mean, look at you man, you would have got thousands of girls, what attracted you to butterfly?
Adi: her name is Pankhuri, and yeah like you said, I would have got thousands of girls.. but those thousands are nowhere near my Pankhuri.
Sid (impressed): wow, what an answer, I am impressed.
Everyone was impressed with Adi's answer Pankhuri was just on top of the world, she tried to hide her blush. They all walked inside, Adi was just about to walk towards Pankhuri but Sid pulled her along with him, and Adi missed his chance.
The table was set, everyone proceeded towards the table to have lunch, Adi sat on end of the table and Sid on the other. Pankhuri came in with another dish, Sid's favourite one.
Pankhuri: Oi monkey I made you another of your favourite dishes.
Sid: aww how sweet of you, that's why i love you butterfly
Adi who was watching this and munching on a snack, chocked and started to cough. Pankhuri ran towards him and gave him a glass of water and patted his back.
Pankhuri: Adi, are you okay? (she asked with so much concern)
Adi: yeah
They shared a little eye lock which was broken by none other than the "monkey" Sidhant.
Sid: ahem ahem Mr & Mrs Kumar you can have your eye locks in your bed room, right now can we have our lunch.. Oi butterfly come sit here near me, I have loads to talk to you about.
Pankhuri wanted to sit near Adi but she also couldn't say no to her friend Sid, they were meeting after such a long time. She quietly walked towards Sid and sat down.
Later On:
Adi was in the room pacing from one end to another, he's been trying to talk to Pankhuri but that "Sid" always intervenes some way or the other and takes her away.
Adi: this idiot Sid, ever since we came everyone has been chanting his name, god sake I can't even spend a few minutes alone with my wife in private cause of him.
He came out of the room and saw that Pankhuri and Sidhant were chatting away in the hall with Neha and Naman, sharing their childhood stories. He noticed Sid had his arm around Pankhuri's shoulder while laughing, he clenched his fist tight.
Adi: Pankhuri come with me one minute I need to talk to you.
Pankhuri: ji
In PaYa's room:
Adi (self talk): I called Pankhuri and said I want to talk to her, but what am I gonna say?
Pankhuri: Adi you called..
Adi (stuttering): umm yeah, I wanted.. umm..actually
Pankhuri (confused): what happened?
Adi: umm I wanted my.. I can't find my blue shirt
Pankhuri: blue shirt.. Adi I kept it i the suitcase, on the right side
Adi: I looked there, it's not there
Pankhuri: okay let me have a look
Pankhuri went to the suitcase and opened it up, and the blue shirt was right on top on the ride hand side of the suitcase. She looked at Adi, while he looked away.
Adi (thinking): sh*t man, couldn't you think of anything better to say...
Pankhuri: Adi, it's right here and you...
Adi: yeah.. umm thank you
In The Evening:
Sid and Pankhuri were still busy talking away, and laughing. Adi was watching them whilst pretending to read the newspaper. He thought of something else to distract them both.
Adi: (coughs) umm Pankhuri can you get me a cup of tea please..
Pankhuri: yeah sure
She gets up to leave but Sid held her hand.
Sid: you wait.. Sushma Chachi can you make Adi a cup of tea please..
Sushma: of course, right away
Sid pulled Pankhuri to sit down again and they both started to chat again. Adi was getting angry, frustrated, annoyed.
At Night:
It was night time and Pankhuri and Sid are still talking, joking around, hitting each other.. Adi was waiting in the room. He tried to distract himself but could not get the images of "SidPan's "hug, their long long long chats..
Adi could not take it anymore and went out to the pool. He jumped in the pool and started to swim. One hour had passed and Adi was still swimming, he was taking out his frustration. When he came back he saw that Pankhuri was in the room, ready for bed.
Pankhuri was staring at him, her eyes were glued to him, as Adi came in shirtless with a towel wrapped around his neck, water droplets falling from his hair. Adi noticed Pankhuri lost in him, although he liked it, but right now he was angry with her, as the whole day she has not paid any attention to him. He coughed to get her attention, Pankhuri looked away shy, she was shamelessly drooling on her husband.
Pankhuri: Adi where were you, I was waiting for you?
Adi: oh really (he replied sarcastically)
Pankhuri: why are you talking like that?
Adi: just forget it
He walked into the washroom to take a shower, he came out after 15minutes and went straight to bed without saying anything. Pankhuri also fell asleep watching Adi.
The Next Morning:
Adi woke up, and he noticed a cup of tea on the side table, with a red rose and a little note saying sorry. He smiled to himself.
Adi (self talk): lagti bilkul seedhi hai, par hain nahi...and that's what I like about her
He quickly got fresh and drank his tea, by then Pankhuri came in with the breakfast tray.
Adi: why did you bring it here, I mean I'll have it outside with everyone
Pankhuri: woh actually, everyone has a habit of waking up early here, so they have already have breakfast
Adi: aur tu?
Pankhuri: jus tea, I was waiting for you to wake up so we can have tea together
Adi smiles, and then remembers that "monkey"
Adi: and what about that monkey?
Pankhuri: haha he's already had his breakfast and also insisted I join him but I said no.
Adi: thank you
Pankhuri: for what
Adi: nothing
PaYa were enjoying their breakfast whilst chatting away. They also talked about SidPan's childhood.
Pankhuri: and you know we were all worried thinking how will Sid settle in life, he's always taking everything as a joke, but as time went by he has settled well in his career and also chose his life partner, he's engaged and going to marry soon.
Adi (shocked, happy & relieved): kya?!!!! I mean he's engaged and going to marry soon.. *phew*
Pankhuri: yeah, but why are you getting shocked?
Adi: hahaha no reason
Adi (thinking): *phew* bach gaya beta...otherwise I would have seriously done something to Sid.
He smiles at his own thought, and then he remembers that he has to tell Pankhuri something.
Adi: acha Pankhuri, you know how you and Sid call yourself SidPan
Pankhuri: hmmm
Adi: well I have thought of something for us
Pankhuri (confused): matlab?
Adi: come on yaar, I mean a name for us both, like SidPan- only our one is better
Pankhuri was smiling, she got the hint where Adi was going but she wanted to play innocent.
Pankhuri: Adi what are you saying, please be clear..and I have lots of work to do, hurry up
Adi: umm, woh Aditya Pankhuri
Pankhuri: yess Adi, I know that our names are Aditya and Pankhuri
Adi: acha, I didn't know that (he said getting irritated)
Just then they heard Sid call for Pankhuri from the hall way.
Sid: oi butterfly, come down quick, I want to show you something
Pankhuri (shouts): yeah am coming
She turns to go, but Adi held her arm and pulled her back. She came crashing into Adi's chest, and he wrapped his arms around her waist. Pankhuri was feeling really shy, she could not even look at him, she was blushing , and Adi noticed her cheeks going red. And he liked it, he liked it a lot.
Adi: not so easily Pankhuri, after a lot if waiting, since yesterday I have you close to me
Pankhuri (shyly): Adi everyone is waiting downstairs, let me go
Adi: I will first here me out.
She settled in his arm, and slowly gathered courage and looked into his beautiful and mesmerising eyes.
Adi: what I wanted to tell you is that I made a name for us both.. Aditya and Pankhuri makes---- PaYa!!meaning we found each other and that we are made for each other!!!
Adi: so, did you like it?
Pankhuri (shy, blushing):hmm
Adi: that was not the kinda answer I was looking for
Pankhuri: it's beautiful, I really like it
She said with a beautiful smile, to which Adi also returned with his gorgeous smile. They were having their eye lock session when Sid called again.
Sid: butterfly hurry up yaar, what's taking you so long
Adi (annoyed): argh this monkey of your's always disturbs at the wrong time
Pankhuri (shy): Adi!!
He let her go for now, and she ran away out of the room, Adi was still standing there smiling. After a few seconds, Pankhuri ran back into the room and hugged Adi, with her arms wrapped around her neck, Adi was shocked at first and then happy, he wrapped his arms around her waist smiling and both tightened the hug.
They broke the hug, looking at each other. Pankhuri came forward and placed a kiss on Adi's cheek.
Pankhuri: I LOVE YOU!!!
She said that and ran out of the room leaving a speechless Adi behind. It took a few moments for Adi to get back to normal.
Adi (self talk): did she just say she loves me, Oh My God!! She did!!! I LOVE YOU TOO PANKHURI!!! He screamed and ran out of the room to her.
