I stood their alone holding back the tears developing in my eyes, trying to understand what the women just told me a few minutes back, when I heard someone scream my name.
I turned to see a child her eyes were wet and red. Her face was covered in tears. She ran to me put her arms around my waist and hugged me tight. I hugged her back and whispered her name.

She didn't reply just continued weeping.
I asked her "What's wrong my love? What happened? Why are you crying?"
She didn't answer just tightened her grip around my waist.
As I was about to say something I saw the women who had broken the news to me a few minutes ago approaching me again. She bent down on one knee as she began to speak the grip around my waist got tighter. Now understanding why she was crying I hugged her back with the same emotion, as tight as I could, understanding what she was going through. We had both lost our worlds today, our lives, our shelter, our Parents!
