I was wondering the same thing. They should have said in yesterday's episode of how the selection was going to take place.

Its meant to be 50% audience votes and 50% judges scores!

But I think there may have been some veto power to the judges or something

It was a gimmick! The channel wanted shefalali parag back.
As regards to Rahul Dimpy, they wanted to show that they arent partial! Dance is priority! So they removed them one week, brought back the next week :) They give the show TRPs. And its a well known fact that SP is hungry for TRPs :(
